Who's the adult in my family I have a small disagreement with one of my parents they raise their voice, start hollering at me and threaten to take things away from me while I calmly tell them what they are doing is extreamly stupid and they are acting like a child.

I feel ya, OP. I have the same problem, except my reaction to my own parents' exaggerated behavior isn't calm, so it usually escalates. You must have the patience of a saint.

I used to be very violent and loud in middle and elementary school but I learned not being calm get's you nowhere when you're arguing
