I just leave mine in the yard alone when I see them growing.

Funny you mention this, my 8 year old sister had a Classmate last year. His very not bright Mom plucked wild mushrooms growing in their backyard. She made a soup and fed it to him.
He was in the Hopsital that whole week very ill. Rather he is okay or not I don't know.

What an idiot she is. She's lucky they weren't lethal mushrooms.

I've always been curious about them but never have I ate one.

I don't know what that lady was thinking when she did that.

I've seen it on pinterest and have looked at lots of photos, but because there hasn't been rain there aren't any mushrooms. But there finally is and man they're a lot cooler in person.
I want to look at my other 3 I'm waiting on right now but I don't want to disturb them.

Speaking of shrooms... has anyone seen the movie Shrooms? It's on Netflix. It's really trippy, a bit horror, very thriller, but a great storyline. It's about these kids that go camping and search for mushrooms and come across these certain ones that will basically make you go on a homicidal murdering spree. It's really gripping.

You'd probably be fine.
In North America at least, there's a pretty small percentage of mushrooms that are deadly poisonous. There's a lot that aren't good for you and will make you sick, but nothing horribly serious.

Not saying you should though. You definitely shouldn't ever.

My parents have spent about half of every year picking mushrooms since I was a child. I haven't done it in years but I'm still semi-knowledgable on them. i used to make a lot of money doing it as a kid.
