For guys, which method of removing pubic hair is best?
I heard shaving is bad because it leaves you itching for days.
I've also hears that trimming is the best option, but no ones actually said what that entails? I don't think they meant scissors, however. I assumed a non-electric shaver, but I wanted to come here to make sure, and ask for opinions.

If you prefer to go bare, you'll have to shave the same as women. It's best to do it in the shower on wet, slick skin with a little soap or shaving cream. Shaving towards the grain, and not against it, will result in far less shaving burn and ingrowns but with not get quite as baby smooth. Make sure your razor is clean and sharp with no rust , gunk, or dull points. If the blade looks like some of it has chipped away, don't use it! This is what will lead to nicks in your skin! Use a moisturizer afterwards and if you see any redness forming in the next few days pick yourself up some cortisone cream to apply. You will itch far less if you moisturize daily. Shaving is also not recommended for all-over pubic grooming if you wear tight, restrictive undies (Too tight bands around panties and jeans cause the most ingrown hairs on women).
Well, I wasn't planning on going fullon bald like a porn star. I've heard girls don't like that because it makes the guys p***s look like a 5 year-old's.
For now, I'll stick to trimming, and if I want to go bald, then I'll do that later on. I don't want to use scissors, so a hair trimmer with guard would be best.
Are there different types of trimmers? Or would it be find to buy any trimmer I find at Wal-Mart?
