I've been away from the thread for a while now. Sorry I missed out on so much. Apparently I'm suffering from a postpartum depression/rage. I can't keep myself in control anymore, luckily I've been able to keep my drama off of facebook so no one but a few close friends know about it. Not even my parents.

Kairi is doing well. Two months appointment went ok and she had her first round of shots. My poor baby had a fever for two days.

Anyway. I'm trying to find ways to help with the PPD but I'm afraid that my insurance dropped me since I am no longer pregnant. Of course that little fact doesn't help my mood much. sweatdrop

Most insurances will keep you on for 30 or 90 days, so you should call and make sure. Did you talk to your OB about your PPD? I don't remember how much my antidepressants cost exactly, but it was something like $40 for 3 months worth. It's really important to get some kind of treatment for it, whether it be counseling or going on antidepressants for a few months.

I would call and ask Zelly, your insurance should cover you up to 60 days after birth.
Boy, I'm glad to live in Canada...

Xander is working today until six; so I decided to work on my baby shower guest list!
Even if it is well in advance...how many people did you guys end up inviting to yours?

Also another question regarding insurance; I am looking into medicaid or peachcare for my
baby girl when she is born but I was wondering when you get the baby insured. When before
she is here do I set it all up or do you HAVE to do it afterwards?
The insurance actually sent me a letter saying I was cut off. But I can always try. Thanks guys.

It depends on the state, but most of them have it so that if you're covered for being pregnant, you'll have a grace period to set everything up afterwards where they'll cover your baby too.
Pandella: I actually didn't plan any of mine >.> Which I wish I had, since I wouldn't have had more than one. I would say invite the people closest to you, that would make the day extra special.

As for insurance, medicaid should cover her after she's born. I believe you would have to call after her birth to be able to set everything up. But it wouldn't hurt to call ahead of time and make sure you know exactly what to do and what you'll need in order to sign her up.

BF in public - I don't think that I could ever just whip it out in a very public place. Like a restaurant or a store... in fact today we were at a children's store and I asked if they had a private place, and they let me sit in the back office. At the mall I went to the restroom and they had a sitting area back there. I'm not worried about what people will think of my boobs - I just don't want anyone else seeing my boobs XD They're a very private thing to me. It's not a sexual thing, it's just something I'd alwayd been taught to cover up.

We specifically chose names that were easy to spell because I always thought it was annoying when people misspell my name or always ask how to spell it. It turned out to be pretty fruitless, because we always get asked how to spell their names anyway. Most people can't believe there's still young couples out there that have normal names for their kids. rofl

Really, unless you name your kid like...Bob or something, it's gonna get messed up at some point. I know I had a hard time getting used to being called Kyla all the time, but now I just let it slide or just correct people and carry on. These days it's something we all have to get used to...but i mean, spelling something so strangely is still frustrating to people.

Dude, I named my daughter Zoe. You would think that was easy to pronounce, wouldn't you? Hardly anybody gets it right. Even though it is the correct and original spelling of the name, everybody pronounces it so that it rhymes with "Joe". evil

There's just no getting around it.

Hell, my own name should be easy. I'm Erin. There used to only be two ways to spell the name. Erin for girls or Aaron for boys. Now all these new age yuppies have screwed it all up.....

I just hate it. If it isn't a new name, why does it need a new spelling?

That's what blankets and cover-ups are fore. If I recall correctly, Boppy has one that has a strap that goes around your neck. Maybe it's because I already have another kid, but I just don't have time to find a place where no one can see me. xd

Amelia has long hair and I really want to chop it off so that it's a bob. She gets the worst tangles and while I've finally found shampoo and detangler that works, she can be a pest when it comes to sitting her down and brushing them out. Plus I think she'd look adorable with a bob. But of course, Paul was all "-gasp- No way! You're not getting her hair cut!" When she was little, we would give her a mohawk.

My cousin, who just found out that she's pregnant, is looking at Liliana and Archer as names. I love the name Archer. Liliana is pretty cute too. Paul and I both agreed we wanted something "normal" in the sense that it would be hard to misspell or get wrong. I wanted something more old school. So Amelia Grace it was.

When my cousin's daughter was alive, she was bed ridden, and tangles were the worse. She gave Samantha one of those adorable cuts that are really short in the back but long in the front. That hairstyle was so cool on her. She definitely worked it.

I really like the name Archer. And Liliana is pretty.

Just got back from my appt.
4 centimeters dialated, about 70% effaced, and Doctor A stripped my membranes. So uncomfortable. Keith got nauseous watching; especially since she stripped my membranes and pulled her hand out. Mucous and blood came with. Poor man.

Hehe, squeamish men.

It sounds uncomfortable. confused

I realized today that I would've had a one-year old sometime this month.

I would think you would want to start the process beforehand. But I'm on government healthcare, and they simply told me to call them when William is born so they could add them.

It's something that you'll want to call and ask to be sure though.

I assume he's going to be by your head the whole time during delivery? lol
My man actually watched a bit while they were pulling me open and pulling Luna out. He keeps comparing me to a gutted dear scream
In private he tells me that it was really scary, though, and he's just joking about it like that because he wants to be brave about it.
He DID see a lot of it though
