However I over ate at dinner.. and with Travis growing bigger.. I'm now in pain. gonk

Also, my feet are killing me. Swollen and painful from all the running around today. Ugh. I think it's an early night time for me.. my feet and back hurt so much.

Ugh.. morning sickness. That sucks.. almost as bad as food poisoning during pregnancy. (be careful that the second never happens to you. It's like death.)

I would take lots of showers and baths when nausea kicked in. Or I would open windows and breath fresh air.
I disliked sprite/ 7up so I had ginger ale. I really wish I could have gotten ahold of ginger candies, those would have been really nice.
Just eat what makes you feel good. I could only eat potatoes at the time.. also cream of wheat cereal because it didn't come back up. We are all different in here. Hopefully you were able to find something from the posts that helped.

I currently have a sore throat and stuffy nose. I'm only in my first trimester so the doc's really don't want me taking anything for it.

I mean, when I get hungry I need to eat RIGHT GODDAMN NOW and I tend to eat a little MORE than I used to, but I still eat primarily the same things I used to. Lots of veggies, soups, and lean meats. I've always eaten pretty damn healthily. I started at 145 and I weighed 152 today. Last time their scale said I weighed 157. It's a digital scale and my midwife looked at me and said that I looked very healthy and asked if I had changed my eating habits. I told her no, and she said that in her hypothesis the scale ******** up LAST time and 152 was probably my true weight today. She said unless I was even lighter at my next appointment there were no worries.

I have been craving sweets a lot more recently. I can't help it. D:

So I am a little sad, I went to the Doc and got proof of Pregnancy today but we were unable to find out my conception date. I had gotten off the Depo shot so my periods were all weird. I have to wait 8 weeks before I get my first ultrasound...I'm betting it was late Jan though. Not sure when people usually get the first ultrasound but I'm sorta gonna laugh if I'm 16 weeks or something 8weeks from now.

Why would they make you wait that long? I've been pregnant twice now and both times they wanted a dating scan immediately!

The hospital already confirmed that, yes, I am pregnant, so I know it's not gonna be a boring "Oh yes you are positive." But I still don't know what to expect. I'm about seven weeks along and anxious to get on with the process!

Lots of blood will be drawn, they'll get your medical history, as well as the medical history of your partner, make you pee in a cup, tell you the dos and don'ts of pregnancy, and likely schedule your dating scan. They first appointments for me were very exciting!

Our hospital doesn't do a dating scan unless they think they need to, or if at your first appointment there is no heart beat.

You are really only supposed to have one ultrasound with our hospitals as well. :/
However, if you need to go into the ER and are worried, they will give you one.

Even my ultra hippy low intervention birthing center does dating scans! Maybe they had one for me since I had a miscarriage the first time. But in the initial paperwork that outlined all of the tests you had the options of it listed the dating scan and anatomy scan as "standard" tests!

Our hospitals are too cheap to do that.
You aren't even allowed more than 2 pictures of your baby.

I was really lucky, and had a good doctor in one of my ER visits, who g ave me more..

But yeah, if you ask, they wont give you any, because they "can't"

Our hospital system here is effed beyond belief. However, the actual DOCTORS you get, are wonderful wonderful doctors. I haven't had a single problem with an actual doctor. Now.. the nurses and receptionists.. e_e

So will I get to hear the heartbeat tomorrow?

That's really what I am most excited for at this stage.

They'll look for it with the Doppler, but probably won't be able to hear it yet. If they do your datign scan they let you listen to the heart beat during it. It's pretty magical. They may do it same day, or they may make you schedule it for the next week depending on how they do it, IF they do dating scans. Unfortunately you can't hear the heart beat on a Doppler until 10-14 weeks. sad

I use hellmans mayo. THE REAL mayo. I hate the taste of miracle whip. Its too dressing tasting to compliment a sandwich!!!

Who says they are the same?! May is made with eggs and oil... Miracle whip is definitely not.

Sorry, just really need to vent;

So at my ultrasound to find out the gender, the Ultrasound tech tells me they found 2 soft markers for downs syndrome. Then they tell me there's a possible hole in his heart. So I go up to their Specialist an hour away to get an ultrasound the next day. Guess what? Nothing's there.

Now that same lab is telling me I'm the exact number I need to be to have to buy all this equipment and see their dietician which conveniently my insurance doesn't cover because she's not on the providers list. I'm really starting to think this is some sort of money making scheme. I really am.

I would just wait and see what your regular ob says about everything. Your ob will see both results from both places and let you know what you should do. That's what I'd do anyways.

My midwives decided to pop my GD test on me by surprise today. It made me feel so icky. I thought I wasn't going to make it through the test without vomiting. I got really dizzy and hot and sweaty. I hope I don't have to take the 3 hour test. It scares me. sad I came back home instead of going back to work I felt so crappy. I took a nap and now I feel fine. I just felt WRONG. I was pissed they just popped it on me. I had told my boss I was coming back to work and then I wasn't able to. I should find out the results tomorrow afternoon, Thursday at the latest. If no one calls me that means I passed.

Morning sickness cures- I had to go on Zofran. NOTHING helped- nothing. Peanuts did and still do provide dulling the nausea edge a bit. Other than that all of the home remedies I tried only worked for 2-3 days and then didn't anymore. Good luck!

Are they allowed to pop it on you like that? I thought they had to let you know because you're only allowed to eat certain things before hand?
