I've got 16 weeks to go (if I don't go early) and I'm already having a terrible time at work. sweatdrop A lot of that is just pain and contractions (False ones I'm hoping, though they hurt like you wouldn't believe.) and random blacking out, none of which my OB has much of an explanation for or is showing any concern over. It's kind of frustrating, really.

Do you keep telling them that it's stressing you out and are very concerned? If they're too painful they need to check something.
found out my iron is low so they had me start on a supplament hoping it helps with the RL pains i've been having sweatdrop
Ashton is super cute.. it was time for bed, so he grabbed his new Optimus Prime toy.. and put him on a pillow next to his bed. heart

I gave Travis a warm bath.. and he was OUT. But I may be missing out on an hour of sleep because he fell asleep way before I put Ash down =(.

Hoping Ash goes to sleep fast crying

Hey guys! I haven't been around for forever, but just a minor update:

Getting those 'false labor' contractions every day now for almost a week! I can't wait for Joshua (finally settled on a name, finally!) to show up into the world. I've been put on bed rest for 3 hours a day when I'm not running errands to combat the major amount of swelling I'm having in my feet. I have an online class next month, I don't know if that's going to be long enough.

How long did it take y'all for your babies to sleep through the night?

My girls stopped getting up to eat at around 4.5-5 months, but they still don't sleep through the night. Up until like, a week or two ago I was getting up every hour and a half or so to fix someone's blanket, pacifier, or just calm them back to sleep. We're sloooowly working through weaning of both pacifiers and needing to be swaddled, once that's done I'm fairly confident that they'll sleep through the night.

I see. I've been hearing from many different mamas on how long it took their little ones to adjust sleeping through the night; I'm trying to calculate if I need to take time off school or not. I'm hoping he'll be a good kiddo and sleep after just one month.. I guess we'll see! Good luck with your girls in that regard. ^^

@Raspberry - Thank you! I'm happy I can call him by his name now instead of the working title "Peanut" or 'kid' lol.

I'm sure he's happy to have a name.

A lot of people are relieved that I stopped calling William Para.

I kind of like Para.

From what I've heard from other moms, around 3-4 months is normal for formula fed babies, breastfeeding babies can go many months still wanting to wake up at night to eat.
Sleeping: Ashton was sleeping 12 hours a night by 3 months. rofl but that was just me being extremely lucky..
Travis will take longer I'm thinking... but he is sleeping enough for me at night.. my insomnia comes in handy lol. I'm used to getting close to no sleep.
There is absolutely no way to predict how your baby will sleep. I have a co-worker with a 3 year old and a 3 month old. She breastfed her first for over a year and is nursing her younger son, Her first son woke up hourly, until he was almost a year old. It was terrible and she almost lost her mind. Her second son started sleeping in 5 hours stretches at 7 weeks. My nephew didn't sleep through the night until he was 8 months old.

It's all totally and completely dependent on your baby. Unfortunately, babies don't give you a lot of "prediction" room. They are who they are, no matter what you want or what works into your schedules.

I started my maternity leave yesterday. biggrin It feels like a massive weight has been lifted off my shoulders! And knowing there's a 99.9% chance I won't have to go back is pretty ******** AWESOME. I'm so excited for him to get here already and to get my old self (altered a bit from Mommyhood) back.
