So today while walking to the grocery store I found a dollar in the gutter. There I decided to buy a 1$ scratcher with that dollar, and when I scratched it off I had one another free ticket. Getting my free ticket, I won 25$ off that ticket.
It was actually kind of fun. It was the first time I ever played the lotto, specifically a scratcher game even though at the last place I worked at I would see them all the time... And even see people addicted to it, unfortunately.

What should I make for dinner? I can either go with a lentil soup since the weather is icky, or I could make a quinoa salad with a toasted mushroom and cheese sandwich. hm hm hm.

I used to see people who would spend so much money on it... And they think they're profitting when they win about 20$ on one ticket when they probably spent 50 on all of them.

Only once. Made back about 200 dollars at Harrah's playing blackjack. Haven't trusted my luck ever again after that.

When they really arent. Its kind of sad. One of my friends works at one back home, that's owned by one of the indian reservations. He deals black jack, and he says it's sad because not only does he see the same people once or twice a week, but they don't even realize they're losing a lot of money.

I usually either lose 20$ or double it.

It is fun but you're more likely to die on the way to the store than you are to win something substantial. They draw you in with the small wins making you think you're lucky.

I remember reading a story about a college professor who taught probability won the lottery multiple times because he was able to calculate his odds of winning.
I think it was after that moment I realized I wanted to be good at math.
