My plan on Monday is take stickies to school and write nice messages. I hope people feel better.

Awesome! I hope you have lots of fun doing it too. I always do. xd

I will! I do attendance so, I'll have lots of free time to run around the school and post stickies. I know, I know I sound like I don't have a life.

I support this thread simply for the fact of the inclusion of "Operation" in it.

That alone makes it epic. We're carrying out an organized military stratagem.

Operation Beautiful is in effect.

Yes let's send troops out to spread sticky notes. xd

I have to admit, when I first saw this thread, I was a bit skeptical--I wasn't sure what to expect. Usually I can guess just by the title, but not this time.

I think I might stick around. I like where this thread is going..though I've never heard of Operation Beautiful before now, though. o.O

Please make yourself at home smile

I think I shall. *kicks up feet in a chair, sipping tea* xD

But on a serious note, I think this is a really awesome idea. ...I almost want to start writing stickies to my boyfriend now, whenever he has a rough time.

Then again...we don't exactly live together, so that might be kinda difficult...>.<

When I first saw the blog I wanted to run out and leave sticky notes everywhere. I was soooo pumped. But it was midnight so I couldn't. sweatdrop I ended up leaving a single sticky note that said, "Smile you're beautiful!" on my boyfriend's scale. He would check it compulsively throughout the day and fret if he'd gain a pound. Since then he's stood on his scale maybe 3 times in the past 2 months. It made me so happy. crying

Yeah : So far I've noticed that most of the sticky notes are female oriented which makes sense I guess. Guys need self-esteem boosts too but from a girl's standpoint it's hard to say, and unlike with girls, a lot of guys probably wouldn't appreciate getting sticky notes that say "Hey hottie!" from other guys.

I guess that's something we're just going to have to learn to figure out.

Aww...that's really, really cute. x3 Maybe I'll start running around campus and leave stickies everywhere. >3 I'll be the....

..Damn. Nothing that resembles "Post-It" or "stickie" is an alliteration with "caper". D ;
I for one think we should be telling more people they are fat. With the health risks involved you wouldn't stand by and be okay with people getting radiation implants that will slowly kill them, so why ignore the obesity epidemic?

Anyone who is a perfectly healthy weight who worries about their weight should be worried. You should be worried about how much lard you put on over winter, you should be aiming to keep within your weight range. "Oh but some girls go anorexic and bulimic and they get so thin like sticks!" yeah some people get obsessed over things and are to stupid to know that healthy is more attractive than stick, maybe if there weren't so many fatties around they wouldn't be scared of ending up like them and withdraw into a panic.

The way to combat this problem is to not tell people they're beautiful at whatever weight they are and not worry about weight. People are dying every day because people were too p***y footed to tell them that they needed to lose some weight.

That's the perfect time! Frankly, I'm a little afraid to be seen doing it. I'm not sure why either, it's not like I'll get into trouble for doing it but I guess I like being the anonymous sticky note sticker, so when I have my 8 a.m. class I love to run around campus half an hour early so I can put the notes in a lot of bathrooms without being seen.

I for one stated that debating about weight related issues would not be allowed in this thread at all. If you'd like to go back and reread the rules and then post about something relevant feel free, if not, please leave. 3nodding

Rofl that made me think of a cannon filled with loose sticky notes. That'd be the weirdest thing to be pelted with ever!

This too is sacred

Starlurk, you got your first troll! I'm so proud! *wipes away a tear and hands your her shiny golden Ban Hammer* Swing away, sweetie.

As for what you can leave in guy bathrooms or for your BF/hubby, you can say things like "You have a big heart" or "You're a Superman to Me!" It's hard not to focus it on body issues, as they aren't AS bad for guys as they are for girls; men are more likely to have their emotions and feelings screwed up, not their body image.

That is really uncalled for. A lot of people who are overweight know it and it plagues them. They try to loose weight and when they can't, it depressed them. Who's to say that big isn't beautiful? A lot of my friends are overweight, but they are truly beautiful people. Everyone is beautiful the way they were made, and that is the message Operation Beautiful is spreading. People like you need to leave and not post in this thread.
