In 3rd or 4th grade (forget which), we read "Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes", and learned how to make origami cranes. I picked up how to make them so fast, that my teacher sent me to the other classrooms to help the other classes. My mom gave me an "Easy Origami" book a year before and I had been working through it, so my base knowledge was probably what made it easy, but I was still pretty freaking proud of myself!
