Flings happen, but i doubt there are many that end up seriious and lasting. Mostly because women already mature before men, so a woman dating someone younger than herself is more like a woman dating a boy

Well if for example you're still in high school, it's true about the females being mature faster psychically and physically. But with higher age this difference ceases, and from the age of about 25 males physically grow old faster than females [and also tend to die at a younger age than females, on average.]

I'm usually into older guys as well; but in this relationship I'm older by about 6 months or so, roughly.
At first I thought it was sort of weird.. but this is the longest relationship I've ever had, and I love him dearly, so I don't really think it matters. 3nodding

I'm almost a year older than my boyfriend and it's not a big deal to anyone really....As a side note, my cousin married a woman who was 15 years older than him....they're divorced now, but they got 2 kids and a grand kid out of it, and for 20 some years they were really happy ^-^ Long as people are happy with their SO's I don't see a problem with the girl being older P:

It doesn't matter and society is just weird when it comes to some things. I am five years and six months older than my boyfriend, and YES, he is legal. Luckily for me, I look younger for my age and he looks older, so we kinda balance out....his maturity level is at the same level as mine too. We work out perfectly. People that don't know us don't even know the age difference, and people that DO know us aren't freaked out by it. They are so used to us smile

I dated this guy who two years younger than me. Big mistake! Immature. He thought that getting dared to kiss someone from a truth or dare game is not considered cheating. He was to much a goody-goody for me anyway. Glad it ended.

It really depends on the peoples mature level and where they are in their lives.

My fiance is two months younger than me so it doesn't really bug me. I normally go for other guys but I couldn't take my eyes off him when I met him.

I don't have a problem with women dating younger guys, unless the age difference is over 15 years. Either way, if the man is older or the woman is older, I don't like age differences over 10 years, and I draw the line at 15.
Sure, it's more common to see older men with younger women, but that's just a generality. I'm sure that if more girls were dating/seeing/with younger guys, it would be seen as more "normal". I personally see noting wrong with it.

I don't go by age. If he's not too immature, and our lives aren't so different where it causes problem (and nothing is illegal, lol), I'm ok with it.

A year and a half? Dude, seriously, that doesn't even count as a difference. It's NOTHING. I'm female and I've dated guys up to 10 years younger than me. (I'm old enough for this to be legal.) My general age range is around 5-8 years younger than me. I ONLY like younger guys. A year and a half younger wouldn't be young ENOUGH for me. A year and a half! Geez.

The last 4 men I've been in relationships with have been younger than me. Two were 2 years younger, one is 6.5 years younger and still love him deeply, and the man I am with now is 8 years younger and we get along splendidly.

In one's teens alot of emphasis is put on age differences because of the myriad of changes a teen goes through physically, mentally, emotionally. Once you're into 20's and 30's it doesn't quite matter so much.

If you're in love with a person, I don't think age makes a difference at all. I know a friend of mine's ex-boyfriend was a year younger than she was. I've never dated anyone younger than me, but that's just my preference.
