Do any of you have friends with really big obsessions?

Seriously, it gets annoying. I have friends who basically say "video game" or "name of boyfriend/girlfriend" in every sentence.

What is it that makes people become that crazy over something?

No idea. I used to have a friend who would obsess over her boyfriend and talk about him all the time. It bothered me to no end. I told her to just stop talking about him or I'd stop listening after a few months of this. She did... until she got a new boyfriend and talked about him all the time. I hate that trait in someone.

Yes.
It's find to talk about it for a while, but it shouldn't consume all your thoughts and actions. That's a bit much. Think moderation.

It's just that, when I see my friends' MySpace surveys, I'm really annoyed at seeing "name" as being the answer to half of the answers. It's a ******** obsession.

I have a friend who's obsessed about relationships. He's really annoying with it. Did you know he's never looked a girl and considered a normal friendship? He's always seen girls as a potential girlfriend. : /

It's not that I purposely want to annoy everyone with it, but it gets to be so much that I feel like sharing my joy with everyone. I don't realize that I talk or think about it so much. I'm not sure why I go crazy over it. I could take a shot in the dark and say idleness coupled with boredom and the lack of anything exciting going on, but I'm sure that's not all.

Right now, my obsession is Death Note and LightxL, but I have very few friends to talk about it with. :/

Yes, yes I do. But her obsessions are awesome. Doctor Who, Robotics. Stuff like that.

My other friend however.. is a total weeaboo. I can't stand it sometimes, but I just deal with it. it's not worth getting in a fight over it. Srsly though. She's convinced that Japan can do no wrong. = w=;
She says "kawaii" in her sentences, as well as "baka" and other things of that sort. Ugh.

I want to ask why does it bother you? They have there world and you have your's. People are searching for a reason to live. This is why they become like that. If there small worlds bother you that much. Help them to expand them. Instead of just telling them to shut up... Yes I have friends like that. It doesn't bother me.
