At Anime Expo 2009, I bought a shirt. A Silent Hill shirt. I love the shirt, cause I'm like, obsessed with the game. Anyway, after I first put it on, I realized it was a girl shirt. I didn't really care much, cause.. well.. I don't really see a problem with it.

My mom, on the other hand, is freaking out over it.

"YOU'RE GONNA GET YOUR a** KICKED!!"
"YOU LOOK GAY!!!"
"PEOPLE WILL MAKE FUN OF YOU!!"

Honestly, I don't give a flying ********. I know how to defend myself, and nobody but my sister and mom have said anything thus far. A friend or two are like "Is that a girl shirt?" I just go "Yeah, I didn't notice till I put it on, but I don't care".

I honestly don't care what most people think anymore. It's just my mom that seems to have a problem.

So, LD,
Have you ever felt like you couldn't wear what you wanted to?
Do your parents act like it's the ******** 60's or 70's? Where people who were gay are shunned everywhere?
My mom told me if I get pin-up tattoo I'm consider to be lesbian.

Well...
If I wore guy clothes, I think my dad would freak, because he doesn't like the idea of me being gay... but whatever.
It shouldn't matter what you wear, as long as you like it, and it's not like your leaving the house in a dress. I think you family needs to chill out, and get their heads in the 21st century. Sure there is still major discrimination going on towards the effeminate/gay... But I don't think you would have problems with your shirt in modern society.
Your mom needs to relax.

I'm glad people are agreeing. I know. I'm not gay, either, so what's the problem? I like this shirt, shouldn't I be able to wear it? It's not effecting her anyway.

i did the same thing i wear it still cause i dont care what people say i've been the a** of everyones jokes all my life so....whatever. sweatdrop
That reminds of a time I bought a black shirt at a store that had only black shirts . . . for women! The problem was, I had a gift card at the store. My friends were so happy that day. xd
So ya, I felt that way, but I quickly got over it.
I once wore this bright bold floral skirt my mom saw me about to leave and she was like, "What the hell are you wearing? Take that skirt off right now! You look ridiculous."
Ugh. I just ignored her and kept it on.
She thinks that whatever I do/wear reflects her parenting abilities. The same goes with my dad.

EDIT: The skirt wasn't skanky.
Nope, I wear what I want when I want. Other people know better than to say anything or even let it get around to me.

We get into arguements every time I am wearing it. I just am like "Are you afraid of my being gay or something? Why does it matter?" and she just says "IT'S A *FEMALE* SHIRT! YOU LOOK GAY!"
I had a friend who accidentally bought a girls shirt and wore it to school anyways... and nobody cared.

Your mom is a tad silly.
    Most t-shirts fit all unisex's.

Sucks. And then when I say something about what they're wearing, they think that they have their own stylist and that I should be wearing what they're wearing.

We just had another arguement.

"At least I'm not wearing dresses."
"Yeah, but year after year after year on every street in every school you've been called gay!"
"Yeah. I know."

===

"You can't go anywhere in that! Either you don't wear it or I'm taking it!"

She wants me to wear more guyish clothing. She said if it was fit for a guy, she wouldn't care. But OH NOES IT'S A LITTLE TIGHT! rolleyes HEAVEN FORBID A GUY WEARING A TIGHT SHIRT!

I mean, seriously. It's getting so ******** aggrivating. Yes mom, I know you don't want to argue. THEN STOP ARGUEING. Yes mom, I know you're tired cause you are working a lot. THEN LEAVE IT ALONE.

This is getting ridiculous.
hey as long as you think it looks good then wear it! If u did/ do feel self conscious about wearing a girls shirt, u could always turn it into a patch and sew it on to a hoodie for a kick-a** one of a kind creation( I'm a huge diy fan it couldn't already tell) silent hill is an awesome game, i wish i had a shirt like that~
