Mästare and I only recently (almost a year ago) discovered that we were part of a lifestyle. For years we had unknowingly had BDSM undertones within our relationship that mostly occurred during the bedroom but I was also naturally submissive and behaved as such around him both in and out of the house. But we've only been labeling ourselves as a 24/7 TPE M/s relationship for a little under a year now.

Depending on the P/E it can be pretty easy.
Warden and I have a mostly domestic 24/7 P/E going on - I cook, clean, mend, and take care of the spawn while he works. But not Total Power Exchange, unlike Randi.(Warden's choice, in case of emergency I am allowed to take control of my own life.)
I say mostly because he and I often let the weekend go and just fart around doing no work or anything.

For me it's not intimidating or bothersome - I like to stay home for the most. I also sort of like cooking.
And eventually you run out of things to clean and mend when you are essentially a hermit - so most of my day is spawn, cooking, and doing ********.

And depending on the dynamic, when the sub is sick/injured they get a day off - which is how our dynamic works. (The last two days I've been recovering from having my tooth pulled, so all I've done is slept, thankfully Warden's mum took spawn for a few days.)
For us it's the quality over quantity thing. He'd rather I spent more time being fully coherent and not burning the house down, rather than trying to function on Hydro and him possibly coming home to a smouldering pile of burnt embers.

And eventually, even in TPE, I'd imagine it becomes routine.
Just like it's routine for me to wake up before Warden, brew a pot of Coffee, bring him in a cup, and try to rouse him from slumber. Then pack a lunch, set out his clothes, and locate all the crap he needs to bring with him to work/to get to work.(Cell, keys, on-the-go coffee mug, wallet, stuff like that.)
A year ago that wasn't routine for me, now I'm usually up before his alarm goes off, even when I don't want to be and it's the weekend XD

After that it's just kinkyfuntime.

The skirt is not attached to the corset, but is included in the costume. I think they call it a petticoat, it's basically a tutu.

No worries! I don't mind the questions. heart As for how 24/7 works it's pretty easy to explain.

Basically: I'm in 'slave mode' 24/7 both inside and outside the house. 24/7 is usually just used to differentiate between those who only bottom during scenes at home/in the bedroom. Where those couples usually end their topping/bottoming after the scene and go back to a more vanilla-like relationship, couples who are 24/7 don't really stop even after the scene is over. (Hope this all makes sense. I just woke up and am not very coherent first thing in the morning.)

TPE, in my opinion, is the harder part of the relationship. sweatdrop

Depends on how sick or injured I am. Even then I still want to serve Mästare; although resting at that point is for my own good. For instance, I get really awful migraines (they usually come with vertigo, ultra-light/sound sensitivity, and a stabbing pain in my head that starts to drive me insane after a while). Sometimes if they're really bad they also cause tension headaches in another part of my head. x.x Anyway, Mästare usually takes care of me in those situations and I can't help but get upset about that because it's supposed to be the other way around, haha. I do appreciate all of the care he gives me though, despite my inner-slave yelling at me to get up and get Mästare what he needs.

Like, professionally I want to do so much - I'm a Bio major and chemistry minor and I want to be a doctor and write books, and I kind of worry that I won't find a domme that would want me simply because I like having a lot of control over my life outside of home. Does TPE mean that he makes professional decisions for you, plus things like where you're going to live and your finances and all of that?

Basically, although things vary between relationships. Example: Some TPE slaves have to ask for permission to use the restroom, I don't. I work at a pizza shop so I obviously don't call him every time I get an order and ask if I can make it, haha. That would be silly and really inconvenient.

However it is expected of me to go to work, do my job well, and come straight home. So I don't need to ask permission for things that have already been discussed and implemented as ritual but I do need to ask permission (even if it's just a formality) when I deviate from that ritual. For instance, if a co-worker needed a ride home after my shift ended, I usually call Mästare to let him know and to see if he minds.

Like Randi said, it depends on the couple. Some agree for the submissive/slave is controlled down to food/water/bathroom needs. My own Master actually encourages me to be socially independent because I'm overly shy and withdrawn when left to my own devices. I do check in with him about going places, though, mostly because it's a long-distance relationship and he needs to know if I'm not going to be online on a given day. When I changed my study major at the beginning of this college semester, I did ask for his opinion and approval, but I still made my own final decision. Financially, we're both broke, but I'm slightly less broke than Sir, so I've bought some stuff for him at his instructions. We've got a pretty relaxed D/s relationship to be honest, Sir's in charge and I obey instructions, but it's more of a DD/lg dynamic than anything else. smile
