* Are Muslims really crazy terrorists as we see in the Media??
We're not, hate has no religion. Any terrorists who say they are killing for the sake of Allah are very misguided. Normal Muslims are not taught to hate. Some Muslims do not approve of the West, and need people to carry out their dirty deeds.
They groom kids, the ones that crave to be accepted, from a young age poisoning their mind with lies. Think of it like a cult. For every religion, there is probably some crazy people making it look bad. Eg, Shirley Phelps and those crazies for Christianity.
* Are Muslim women who wear head scarves (khimars) oppressed?
In the West, Muslim women are not required to wear the headscarf . It's all about modesty, if you feel you dress modestly, then that will suffice. Some women DO wear headscarves, they are Muhajaba's (common slang term: Hijabis). And it is of choice. Often they feel empowered when wearing it, since they are judged on what is inside, not outside. It is something to be proud of :3
In the Middle East, some countries force ALL women to wear a headscarf. I do not agree with it, yet since i live in America, nothing i can really do about it...
- Also, some women wear Burkas, Jilbabs, or a face veil (niqabs) these cover from head to toe. They are also for the sake of modesty, also optional. -
* Why do you put acronyms by Allah and Jesus, and Mohammad's name?
Someone has asked me this via PM and i am quite glad they asked. Muslims, when typing or writing, often put acronyms to show respect to the prophets and more glory to Allah. Not ALL Muslims do this, but some (including me and most people in this thread) do type it.
PBUH or SAWS: PBUH is 'peace be upon him', SAWS is 'salla Allah alihy wa sallam'
They both mean the same thing, and are used after the Prophets names. A lot of people also SAY these phrases when speaking.
SWT: This is used when speaking of Allah, it stands for 'Subhana wa t'ala' which is Arabic for 'Glorified and Exalted is He'
* When do Muslims pray? And what are the names?
Prayer is performed five times a day:
Dawn - Fajr
Noon - Dhuhr
Afternoon - Asr
Sunset - Maghrib
Nightfall - Isha'a
And we go to Mosque whenever really, but mainly on Fridays.
* Who can convert to Islam?
Anyone can convert to Islam. A Muslim is a person who submits to the will of God, regardless of their skin colour, nationality or religious background. Becoming a Muslim is a simple and easy, it also has no pre-requisites. A person may convert in privacy, or they may do so in the presence of others.
As long as you have the full conviction in your heart that Islam is the true religion of God, then, all a person needs to do is recite the “Shahadda”, the testimony of faith. The Shahadda is the first and most important of the five pillars of Islam.
With the recitation of this and whole-hearted belief, a person is then considered a Muslim.
What are the common elements of a Muslim marriage?
Of course each country's culture will effect how a marriage is, but in this answer we'll examine the traditional Middle Eastern/East Asian wedding. It usually lasts about 3 days.
Mehndi - This is a henna ceremony, henna looks similar to a tattoo and does not last very long. It can be done anywhere on the body, hands & feet are most common.
Nikah - This is a marriage agreement and quite a serious time, between the bride and the groom. It is not uncommon to have both people sign a contract (called nikaahnaama). On the day, the older members of the two families sit together and decide the amount of the nuptial gift (called Mehar). This an amount of money given by the groom`s family to the bride.
Walima - This is the reception, both friends & family are invited. There is food provided, either by the guests or by the bride & groom themselves. This is for fun and enjoyment, celebrating the new union.

Is music considered a haram?
This has been asked 3 times i believe. And even though none of us are scholars, it has been said each time that no it is not a haram. Which is why we love beautiful music and beautiful Nasheeds. And of course as pointed out by sister Bilqisnargis, music dos not compare to the beauty of Qur'an!
And when the Quran is recited it's the most beautiful sound and it softens the heart.
An example of the Quran's ability:
Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Believe in it (the Qur'ân) or do not believe (in it). Verily! Those who were given knowledge before it (the Jews and the Christians like 'Abdullâh bin Salâm and Salmân Al-Farisî), when it is recited to them, fall down on their faces in humble prostration." (Al-Isra 17:107)
Allâh has sent down the best statement, a Book (this Qur'ân), its parts resembling each other in goodness and truth, oft-repeated. The skins of those who fear their Lord shiver from it (when they recite it or hear it). Then their skin and their heart soften to the remembrance of Allâh. That is the guidance of Allâh. He Guides therewith whom He pleases and whomever Allâh sends astray, for him there is no guide. (Az-Zumar 39:23)
