Welcome to Gaia! ::

So I am a computer science major, so I work a lot with programming currently.

I'm taking a computer architecture / assembly language course right now and working with 68k

Today I spent a good 16 hours working on various programs.

I'm still only about halfway done. The funny thing is, I didn't even procrastinate!

Homework is piling up!

Tell me, Gaia, how do you manage college homework? What do you do after long hours of homework? How do you feel after finishing huge projects!
I just write THOMAS JEFFERSON a bunch of times and I get an A

Thomas Jefferson is the best

I don't know, man.

Jefferson was fantastic, being the third president and working hard on our declaration of independence.

But I have a softer spot for Teddy Roosevelt.

That and Tesla. Not quite the same realm of people, but still.
Computer Science is generally pretty ridiculous. I've been working towards a two year degree in it and have classmates that spend that same amount of time trying to make their code work.

It's a pain in the a** sometimes.

What sucks is that my issues are just syntax errors as usual.

Always something small. ******** me over.

But it's worth it in the end. I do enjoy it, just not 16 hours of staring at the same 40 or so lines of code, ahaha.

You preplan for the homework when signing up for classes. For every hour you spend in class, expect to have 2 or 3 hours of homework and studying.

That never worked for me, sadly.

I've been in college a couple of years, but programming tends to just lead to copious amounts of time on one program. Like 16 hours. And then once you finish your project, you realize another one is due in like a week and you repeat the process nightly for a while.
Woo Comp Sci,

Computer Architecture is a hard course, we have a week off from classes so I plan to start my Assembly code soon, there's 2 weeks to finish it, and it's 11 page complimentary assignment.

Then I Have a Data and Algorithms course assignment that is going to take another couple of days to finish.

Lots of work, on top of studying for midterms.

Though it's rewarding once you get it working.

So preplan for that when signing up for classes. If you know it's a programming class, expect to have to work for 16 hours on each project.

Also, ratemyprofessors.com is pretty handy.

Occasionally, not that often, if I see something to respond to I do.
