I'd say when you start getting into 5 year differences if you're under 23, then it gets to be a bit weird. Even 10 year differences in your 30s is a little off to me.

exactly, you cannot fix or change the way the sex laws work. Evidence plays a big part, but with rape and child molestation/statutory rape (even if it is consensual) it is hard sometimes to provide evidence since it may takes days if not weeks/months/or years for the person to come forward...

I dunno. Someone who is 16 is either a sophomore or junior in high school, and at 19 you're either a freshman or sophomore in college [or not in college], which, to me at least, seems like you'd be in very different stages in life, and, in general, I'd think that would lead to different levels of maturity. You 2 would be an exception because you're both very immature. My excuse anyway.

But maybe that's because at the moment the idea of college is most likely very exaggerated in my mind. I have a deathly fear of it.

If I was dating someone else in college, honestly I'd get so bored of it. It's sort of counter-intuitive probably, but I get enough of college without needing it in my romantic life. If I was dating someone my own age, it'd just be sex and bitching about classes in between. No thanks :/
