Welcome to Gaia! ::

I'm Agnostic; I believe in the idea of god but not in a way that people have made him. I guess I'm looking for a religion that suits me.
haha people get so aggitated talking about this stuff.

agnosticism seems limiting because i think the answer is all around us, where agnostics see nothing but materialism and what's measurable (am I wrong in that assumption?)

I see agnostics as being half-assed individuals.
They're too frightened to say there is no God.

Yet they won't fully commit to the fact there is a God, either.
neutral

Its basically people just riding the fence to see how things will turn out.
I wouldn't trust an agnostic as far as I could throw one.

Because admitting when something can't be proven true or false is somehow more unethical than sticking hardline to one's unsubstantiated opinion?

What confuses me is how taking that stance makes them at all untrustworthy in totally unrelated situations.

Agnostic is more of combination of theism and atheism. Some think god exist, some don't. It's a belief that there could be something out there, but there could be not. It's very diverse and more of: Maybe.

Haha... I may be a lot of things, but I'm certainly not god-fearing.
I would challenge them to show themselves to me, to give them a reason to worship them. I would mock them for hiding, just for the hell of it.

But I won't dismiss the idea of it... All I know is that if some higher lifeform descended from the sky and told us all to bow down or be annihilated, I would bow.
This is why we should all just be Jewish.

Thank you Mortok for making a more mature response towards "Daemon Von Blaque."

I like Muslim beliefs.

I chose to ignore religion as a whole.
It's too annoying, too complicated, and overall just too silly.
Though I suppose I identify most with Buddhism. No deities, many ways to practice it, and hell the Dalila Lama is kick a**.

Intresting, how did you come to love Buddhism, if you don't mind me asking.

Why?

Are you gonna cyber-beat me up?
I am 21 and a Christian, I have no intention of being an Atheist or an Agnostic,

My history teacher actually.
We were studying world religions when she announced she was a Buddhist and I read up on it and seemed like something that would interest me.
It's about your personal best, not the "personal best" some god gave to you.
I shunned from Christianity when my parents kept saying "You can do better, God made it so you can do better!" particularly in school work. Really it was "God" that made my school work s**t and when I stopped identifying myself as Christian my grades skyrocketed. o_x

Still though, it is just easier in most of life to ignore religion whenever possible. That's what I have come to agree with, anyways.
