I would like to talk to the people of Life Style Discussion on why you don't belive in any form of God. Why is it that you belive in Death with no afterlife so strongly. Why is it that Atheism is so popular for teenagers, and why so few realise the joy of being Agnostic.

I would also like to ask you, have you thought of benifiets of being Agnostic?

Neither one of those is a religion.

I would guess that many teens who say they are atheist are actually agnostic.

As for why they would be any of those, I would say it's because there is little to base a belief in a particular religion on.

Because there's no evidence for a higher power. Sure it's impossible "to know for sure", but assuming there is one seems much sillier to me.

What exactly are the benefits of agnosticism? It's just a personal belief. Are all your spiritual bases covered? Do you get a free jacket? Are there parties?

Zac Efron is agnostic.

Put that in a teen magazine and 87% of the girls will be, too.

I'm agnostic. I definitely don't believe in a Christian god, but I'm a very superstitious person and I believe that there are forces out there that just can't be explained.

Beliefs are religious terms. Saying you're an Athiest is same as saying that you are in a Religion that doesn't belive in god.

Get benifiets of both Theism and Atheism.

Those crazy kids and their new age lack of beliefs.

I believe that my dog is stupid.
This is a belief.
It isn't religious in any sense of the word.

Except, no, it's not, since those religions are a lot more complicated than a single belief.

Go away.

Atheism has no church, nor does it have regular meetings or tax-exempt status. It's as much of a religion as "bald" is a hair colour.

I think people are starting to actually look at their parents traditional beliefs and question them, and they're not being told they're completely wrong anymore. They can also research about other religions and research their individual beliefs a lot more easily because of the internet.
I mean, when you start reading about new scientific studies online that completely contradict your beliefs, you're probably going to start wondering.

I'm an atheist because nothing else has been proven to me. If something is, I'm open to look into it and proof is what will make me believe. Faith and holy books aren't enough to prove anything to me.

Approx. 300000 kids are seriously injured playing sports yearly, and marijuana is considered dangerous?

When you have lots of teenagers "preaching" how there is no god, it's hard to say it's not a religion. Also, funny how you use Gaia Logic.

And again, what are the benefits to a personal belief that has no outwardly visible effects whatsoever? Does agnosticism prevent cancer?

Um, this has been happening for thousands of years. Why do you think people were fed to the lions in Ancient Rome? Why do you think people were burned at the stake in the middle ages?

The Nightmare King will rot at last
And all our years of pain and fear
Will fade into the distant past
