Homophobia is one more of the stupid prejudicies of people, specially Religious people.
I hate all type of discrimination, but when it comes certainly with sexuality and Love I cant stand it at all.
Well I should be honest, yeah I do view it as a sin. Yeah I don't agree with it...
Am I going to shove it down your throats? No.
I'm not a religious extremist. What you do is between you and God. I know that I'm not any better.
I feel your true enemies are those who are extremists one way or another.

I've seen nothing of the sort in this thread. I've seen people asking about how men/women are attracted to the same sex and recieving answers, but no bashing. Get it straight dude.
Plus, whether that true or not, you don't hear me saying "to heterosexuals, if you're not against homosexuality, you must be gay". You're just giving out false generalisations on topics that you have no knowledge of.

You're either lying or blind. Every thread about gay acceptance there's at least 1 person who doesn't support it; be it a Christian or just some average joe. It turns into a bible interpretation lesson or an open "debate" (I use debate loosely here because it usually turns into a shitfest). And I've been accused, many times in real life and on here, that if I'm against queers, I must be one myself.

It happens. The difference now is that I'm used to it.

you said in this thread, not this forum. Pardon my direct interpretation.
And if you haven't noticed, over half the time when a christian is commenting negativly about homosexuality, they are referring to it as " totally wrong" or "a sin". I apologize if many of us take offense to that.
The reason it turns into a bible interpretation is also because when one refers to something as a sin, it means that it goes against thier religeon. many of like to point out that we do not find it a sin.

Everytime someone is against homosexuality, but not against the person it's an automatic red flag. You've all seen it happen in this forum alone. There's a fine line between homophobia and not supporting homosexuality and most people don't realize it.

Forum =/= thread and if I said thread somewhere before then you know what I meant.

Look, if you're really all about tolerance you have to start somewhere. If someone isn't a big enough man to do it first, you should do it. It has to start SOMEWHERE. You people can't keep fighting your battles like this and you know it. If some Christian is against queers because it's against their religion (or if they find it a sin) then so be it. Who are you to change their beliefs? And vice versa, who are they to change yours?

You're not going to convince them either way and they're not going to convince you. THEN it turns into a shitflinging festival and at that point it's game over.

in fact, very few 'Queers' are going to be nice if you refer to them as such. stare

I have a gay mentor and I refer to him as a queer all the time. Wise guy, but he can take it.

It's not a question of taking it or not, it's a question of getting on the bad side of someone when trying to say that you simply don't support them. If you don't want to accept homosexuality, fine. But if you want us to accept your choices, you might want to be semi-polite about it.

Hahahaha, but then you're assuming I want them to accept me.

I do accept it. i'm not bashing her up there for saying she doesn't like homosexuality. As long as you don't attack, I'm won't defend.

And again about the terminology. Pardon me if I'm being rude and less civil than usual towards you, but I REALLY don't enjoy being referred to as 'Queer'. It's extremly rude. gonk

I know. cool
heh, this is going to sound odd, but i dont think its just, GAY , BI, or STRIAGHT.

more like a percentage of how much you dont let the bounds of gender get in the way. biggrin

im not gay, thought about it before, not though. i like breast to much, heck, im even a big christan. But i have a bit of respect for gays and lesbians in a way. Why? because they are taking the chance of being shunned by telling others about it. So... i tend to enjoy there company more. haha.

interesting thread. seeya!

Well then don't complain! xd
The original post brings tears to my eyes every time I read it...

And I agree with what someone say waayyy earlier- every time someone gets all whiny and homophobic and abusive about it, it only encourages me to wear more rainbows and flaunt it.

Smooth.

See, now that I know you don't care either way, I'm not even going to bother disputing with you. razz
About 85% of my friends are gay/lesbian/bi and they are some of the nicest people that I've ever met in my life. People are people and shouldn't be judged on their sexuality, race, ect. Yet our society has sank so low that they judge everyone on any little flaw they can find. Who says that a man and a woman have to be together?...the bible which was written by some random person not knowing fact from fiction...We're suppose to have rights, what kind of rights do we have if a person can't even marry who they want to marry. 'marriage is based on love, not gender'. That is completely true, and as far as homophobia goes, how can you be scared of someone whos gay?...I mean, as long as they're nice can't you look past that.
