I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.

I agree with everything but this statement.

Anyone in a medical profession takes an oath to help people.

Isn't there some kind of unwritten law that says mother's should love their kids unconditionally? And looks what's happening to gay kids in droves.
:/
You'd be surprised at what douchebags some people can be.

question
The fact that our own law system is homophobic bothers the s**t outta me. I wanna adopt one day, and if I do have a girlfriend, that shouldn't change the adoption process. I wanna cry now. crying

This one is so sad. I'm actually afraid of that happening to me. I wouldn't want to die alone in some hospital room just because they have that rule of only letting family members though. That needs to be changed.

Wait, this kind of thing still happens? That's so stupid. Anyways, I think that gay parents are adorable. Haha.

I really hope that this one isn't true. If it is, then it probably happened in America.
I abhor homophobia in all its forms... but I understand its roots. Many people view it as a sin, or as something that is morally wrong. A sin such as having an affair, or even (to stretch my example a bit) killing someone. Love is love... but betraying matrimony for an affair is wrong, and two people of the same gender loving each other is wrong too. (Note: not stating my opinion here, just doing a bit of "getting into the other side's head." )

Also, many believe it's a psychological disease that should be treated. After all, it was listed as a psychological disorder until relatively recently. I don't know the exact date, but I suppose I could try to look it up. Either way, to people who believe in this theory, being homosexual is on the same level with being depressed or bipolar. You should be cured of it, not encouraged in it. It is dangerous and wrong.

Even though I understand the reasoning, I do hope that we can have an unprejudiced system in the future. Homosexuality is nothing different than heterosexuality... it just involves the same gender rather than opposite ones. But it's going to be a long, hard struggle to get rid of a bias that's been around for so long.
Love whoever you want. I don't see why it matters so much.

I don't see why homosexuality is wrong.

You shouldn't think less of someone because they're different.

I don't see why homosexuality is wrong.

Hint: look above your post. I just handily explained a few reasons that many people think homosexuality is wrong.

Phobia is a fear of something.
I don't see why anyone would be afraid of homosexuals.
I don't understand why whey are, and I don't understand their hate.

I should call myself a heterophobe. Most of those people are damn frightening.
Figures that I'm gay.

Eeeh.. That reasoning is kinda irrational.
Come to think of it:
Homosexuality wasn't frowned upon until.. What.. Oh, right.
Until someone decided they should write a Bible.

We all know 'getting down' with both girls and guys was perfectly fine in the past. Past now long, long gone.
And then someone decided to write down how men will not sleep with men.

Christians ******** us up. Ironically; They preach love and equality for all.
Except women, children and homosexuals, of course.
My opinion.

The original post brought tears to my eyes.
I can't understand homophobia.
I don't understand intolerance,
unacceptance,
hate.
As a bisexual girl whose first and only relationship so far
was with another girl,
I've often been called a lesbian.
Not that I mind,
it's just...
not quite right.
And besides,
every homophobic slur
only spurs me on
to wear more rainbows
support more friends
flirt with more girls.
So "hah" to them all.

How do you know you're bi if your only relationship is with a girl?

Because I know who I'm attracted to even if I haven't had the chance to be in a relationship with a guy. Same with anyone who's straight or gay: they know who they're attracted to even if they haven't been in a relationship yet. It just happened to be the way things played out.

I do lean towards girls though.
I'm bisexual. ^^ But I understand homophobia. My brother is homophobic, and I have no doubt that if I confide in him that I am bisexual, he will disown me. So I have not come out yet to him. I know I will love my brother no matter what, he is my best friend. We may fight, but I have come to love him and understand how and why he is homophobic.

I'm not saying I support it, but I will adore him no matter what he thinks of me.
And that, I believe, is the definition of love.

You made me smile.
C:
Homophobia, like racism, can't be entirely wiped out. There will still be those assholes that insist that one race/gender/sexual orientation is superior to all others, and that everyone else is going to hell/whatever. The best we can do is make it gauche to hate someone for such a stupid reason, though I doubt that's in the foreseeable future.
