Do you have any funny first period stories? Or really, any at all? This morning I got my first period at school, and I was wondering if anyone could relate.

My story is that this morning I went to the bathroom and I happened to look down and there were two red stains. My heart skipped a beat and then I was like, Is this really it? I've been anticipating this for a while now. So then I got my emergency pad from my bag... and the rest is history...

What's your story? Or if you haven't got your period yet... you can read them too, of course.

I'm neutral... kind of grossed-out... and tired.

EDIT: Oh yeah, also, I was really prepared and my best friend bet me that I'd freak out when I got it no matter how "prepared" I was. I guess my will to win the bet won over my urge to freak out. biggrin I would have freaked out if I wasn't so bent on proving her wrong. whee I scare even myself sometimes... sweatdrop

I was thankfully on a month-long break from school when I got mine. It was January and I went to my mum and she bought me some pads. I'd already been very well-read on what it was and what it meant and stuff, but it was the newest and most uncomfortable thing ever. I literally spent the week lying in bed, reading magazines, and I would cringe whenever I had to stand up and do something.

Let's see, I think I was 12, and I was really, really dumb back then. I got my period and I was all happy and proud, but I thought periods only lasted for a day. You dumped some out and you were done for the month. So I went to school the next day not wearing a pad and well . . . my green pants weren't green for long.

Oh gosh, mine was MORTIFYING! So of course its Canada day [I live in Canada] and I'm over at my cousins house to celebrate. Our colors, being white and red, seemed appropriate to wear that day. Because I didn't have any red shorts I just stuck on my white pair, threw on a red t-shirt and headed out the door. So my older cousins, younger cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and what not are over to celebrate. I went to the bathroom and saw the 'beginning stain' of course I didn't really realize it because it didn't look red on my underwear. So I head downstairs and I see my cousin rushing towards me. Immediately I am back up stairs, just to find nice red spots on my white shorts. Easily I got a pad and changed, but still, it was embarrassing, especially because we had to stay and everyone knew.

When I had my first period, I didn't know what it was. I saw blood coming out and I was sooo frightened. Then my mom accused me of being pregnant, even though I wasn't. The school nurse gave me a video about puberty... Ahhh so funny.

I got it while I was watching Yu-gi-Oh. My mom only had tampons in the house and I had no idea how to do them, so I stuffed tissues in my underwear and called her so she'd know to bring me pads. XD

I was about 13, so I knew what periods where and everything and was expecting mine, but I was still shocked when it happened. I went to school with the worst cramps of my life and went home because I was throwing up. An hour later, I saw all this blood on my panties and nearly fainted. I knew I was going to bleed, but I didn't expect so much. So, yeah. Funzors.

I think I was in 4th grade, so I was kinda young and a little naive when it came to this kind of stuff. After a jump rope club thing I went home and saw a little blood on my shorts. I started crying because I was so scared. gonk
