I got mine on one of the many mornings that our P.E. class (this is in middle school) does the mile run.
So that morning I woke up and had bloodied underwear. Freaked out for a split second then realized I was 13 and it was about damned time.
So I snuck a handful of tampons into my backpack after trying out the pad and finding it resembling a diaper.
Of course I read the back and all so I was well aware of the danger and s**t.
Then I went to school.
My mom didn't know for a week.

I don't remember what exactly happened (because it was a really unimportant part of my life) but I remember that around the same time, my mom had told me about it and I was like, "I hate being a girl." And then I got it and I was like, "Darn, I hate being a girl even worse." I used the word 'darn' because I was only 12.

I was thankfully on a month-long break from school when I got mine. It was January and I went to my mum and she bought me some pads. I'd already been very well-read on what it was and what it meant and stuff, but it was the newest and most uncomfortable thing ever. I literally spent the week lying in bed, reading magazines, and I would cringe whenever I had to stand up and do something.

yeah same with me..though i stayed in the toilet for 2 hrs a day instead of lying in bedall week.

I was really lucky with mine--I'd just gotten home when something felt finda funny. I went to the bathroom and I'd started, so I snagged one of my mom's pads. Of course, it wasn't until later that year that we got the "your bodies are going to be changing" talk at school... rolleyes

I was 12-years-old and I was spending the night at my friend's house with my best friend and I was completely not expecting it, but when I woke up in my sleeping bag i was covered in blood sad I freaked out and was so embarrassed lol lucky for me they had both had theirs already, though i didn't know until then, and i was given a pad. I called my mom to tell her and when I got home she had bought me a jewelry box, a necklace, and a card lol!!

Well, let's see.
It was October 31st, and I was 11.
I came home from school as usual and my stomach was bugging me. I was supposed to go to my dad's that night and go trick-or-treating and I still had to finish packing.

But I got my priod. And of course, my mom was still at work. So when my stepmom came we talked about it and stuff. I was pissed at my mom for not being there.

That night was NOT fun. I had to stop trick-or-treating early cause my cramps were horrible.
It felt wierd though, because I was the first girl to get it out of all my friends.

mmm. I was in 7th grade when i got my first period...so that was like...6 years ago, wow! January 3rd, 2002. so about a month before i turned 13. lol. Uh lucky for me i was on christmas vacation when i got mine, And i remember going to bed every night being like "OH PLEASE LET IT HAPPEN!" lol i don't even know why i wanted it so bad, my best friend hadn't even had it yet. But yep it happened and i was like "oh...this isn't....fun.." lol i dunno...but yep. I told my mom and she went and got me these Freaking huge uncomfortable pads that i hated from the begginning. Thank god she started getting smaller ones after a few months, Now i wear tampons just cause i like them more and i don't worry about leaking as much with them.

I acutall just started my period this morning and i wasn't expecting it...since i had one at the begginning of the month, so i'm kinda confused...but whatever. lol

I was 13 when I first started. I was at a flea market with my grandma. I went to the bathroom, used it, and I looked down and saw blood. I almost fainted.
Afterwards, I told my mom and she started crying.
She stayed that way all day.
