Wow everyone got theres early i got mine when i was almost fourteen. Did you know the younger you are when you get your period the more likely it is to get cancer? Anyways about my story.. I went to the bathroom on a sunday afternoon and looked at my black underwear (thank god it was black) it looked different kinda brown I was like "Aw s**t." and blotted like four times each toilet paper oozing with blood. I ran and told my mom after putting toilet paper on my undies. She pretended to cry for like five seconds lol. Being a girl is very gross.

It was 4th December 1996. I remember the date because it was the day after my 12th birthday. I was just on the loo and when I wiped (god, sorry, this is too much sharing I know) there was blood. My mum had told me about the basics since I was about 5 or so, so it wasn't a terrible shock or anything. But there was no warning, no pains or anything. I was just lucky I was on the loo.

I wasn't even surprised when it happened.
I happened to need to pee really bad, plus, the "inside" felt oddly wet and... sticky/gooey gonk
Went into the bathroom, pulled my pants down, BOOM.
There's like, blood everywhere and I'm just staring at it like surprised
"Oh, I finally got my period... um, wow."
I go get some pads, put them on, and get out like it was any other day of my life when I needed to use the bathroom surprised
Then after 2 weeks my mother noticed the blood and she's like "OMG, WENDY!" like it's the best thing in the world and she shows me how to "put a pad on" when I already knew. rofl Yeah, and she also decides to tell everybody in the family about it, INCLUDING MY DAMN DAD. Jesus.

So yeah.
Every now and then I would get bad cramps from it, and feel like vomiting. It just sucks every time.
I skipped mine for a month but now it's back and I just want to crawl in bed and cry sad

Oh hell. I was 13 and it was UIL for 7th grade band. We went to UIL and I rode the bus and spent the entire time with the guy I liked who was also my best friend. After we got back to the school, He invited me over to swim, but I told him I couldn't because I had a rehearsal with my pianist for solo and ensemble. I get to the place where the rehearsal was and I had blood in my underwear. I was like "OH MY GODDDD" freaking out. If I would have gone to his house that would have been super embarrasing. gonk sweatdrop

i was 12 and got it in school. i used the restroom and noticed that my pee was red. i checked my panties and they were red. apparently, i thought i somehow cut myself down there and complained to the nurse. i then noticed three older kids were there while the nurse told me all about periods for ten minutes. worst of all? the kids were guys.

I got mine at nine...I don't really remember too much..my mother already talked to me about it so I wasn't surprised or anything. All I remember is she took me out shopping to celebrate going into womanhood XD

i got it the night before i was going to go on a cruise T.T
i was at my dads place,realised i got my period and started crying,because i wanted to be a kid forever -.-"
my dad had to go to a store,and buy pads,when he got back he gave me the pads and some oreos,and calmed me down
the even worst part was when my step mom tried to teach me how to use a tampon(never again)

in the end i couldent go swimming the entire cruise T.T

and she was like oh no you poor thing
but i got it the weekend before midterm exams and every day during the test i could feel it GUSHING

Well,
I remember the first time I got my period, at 10.

I woke up one morning to go pee, and my undy's had all this black stuff and I was like "wtf?".

So I told my mom in the car, and she was like "you probably got your period", and that was the end of it. Got me pads.
I never knew what it was before hand.

My mom had been trying to talk to me about it for awhile before then but I was really uncomfortable about it, but then all of a sudden I pulled down my pants and there was blood all over. I showed her and went "uh... I think I got my period". She tried to talk to me about it but I was so uncomfortable that she just got me a pad and that was the end of it. rofl

i had my first in the middle of my history class when i was in middle school. My teacher (male of course) was an a*****e and told me to "suck it up" so i barged out of the class room. i flipped out, i didn't know what was going on, all i knew was it was a lot of blood, every part of my body was hurting, and i needed to find a hoodie long enough to cover my butt (thank god for guy friends who don't ask questions!) and to top it off, i couldn't go to my mom cuz she was in Europe on a business trip (lameness) and no way was i going to ask my dad to find me tampons! i waited untill he went into town and raided their bathroom for mom's female product and stole all of them! she was really confused when she finally came back (two weeks later) to no products and i was embarrased (dad hovering within earshot) so i told her the dog chewed them up. she didn't find out what had happened till two months later when it happened again ^^. after that i only had it every 2 or 4 months, then it wouldn't stop and they gave me iron pills cuz apparently my body doesn't know when to stop pumpin out the blood. passed out in school cuz of it, smacked my head and got a concusion...lovely. the guys never let that down, about how much of a wimp i was about blood. showed them exactly how much "a little" blood was after i changed my pants in the bathroom. they shut the hell up after that.
