Not everyone that appears to be a furry has a sexual attraction to anthropomorphic figures.
I personally just think anthropomorphic art is interesting. ._.

Of course, the majority are irl friends OwO; Yeah, there's a pretty good sized fur community in South Texas

Oh that's great! Its nice living where there are actually other furs. And the Pacific northwest is the same. There's lots of furs up here in Washington state X3

I own 3 suits, all partials. The one pictured is a husky, the head is by Sharpe19.
I also have a wolf made by Zevlin / rastafarianlion and a deer by RegalWolfStudios.

I have tons of costumes/outfits I put on the partials. look at the FA or dA galleries and you'll see. 3nodding

Kung Fu Brother

While I count myself within the fandom, I haven't had the pleasure of meeting a good furry. Most of the ones that I met were overly sexual and very um......sensitive. stare

But I like the idea of having a furry persona (fursona?) and I practice drawing all the time. I even have some stories laying about. I'm not into fursuits very much, but I wear tails sometimes. I'm more interested in the artistic side of the fandom. But for every nice picture I find, I find 10 more pictures of porn. It's funny, but I can't be surprised.

I mean, most furries are in their teens and 20's (most mind you). This is a time where everyone's sexuality is most active. So while it may be excessive, it's completely understandable. Look what happened when the Bronies got a hold of MLP:FiM? I still shudder at the thought of Princess Molestia... gonk

Unfortunately there are a lot of... overly sensitive furs out there... but you get that in any kinda community.

And I find that strange. All the furs I know are in their mid to late 20's, 30's and 40's.

But since you mention that, I did just commission Fenrirs_child for a head and it should be done by halloween. That one is a coyote.
It will probably be my last one, though.

I used to live in Japan and went out in town suiting all the time. Now I live in NY and it's a lot harder now. No point in continuing to collect. :/ (commissioned for the coyote before I moved).

I'm not sure I like full suits. I used ot be all over it when I first got interested in the costumes, but then after I got the first partial I enjoyed the wardrobe design too much. Finding clothes in sizes a fursuit could wear would be too difficult / expensive.

As for cons, I've never suited at any cons, never been to any furry cons. Got into fursuiting last year when I lived in Japan. I'm in NY now and I'm thinking about getting into that but I'm not sure, yet. Before I got into fursuits, I was an active AMVer. I went to DragonCon 2001 and AWA 2001 - 2007.
