Welcome to Gaia! ::

Seppho Ilmarinen
I'm 16 (turning 17 this year) and engaged. :3
Though we don't really plan to announce our marriage until we are over 21, since my parents would literally probably try and kill him. And we want to have a place of our own and stable income.

Congratulations! Parents are rather difficult to deal with on this subject, I'm sorry yours aren't supportive. It's also very good that you're waiting for stability. c:

I am engaged and underage. 19 soon to be 20. He is 24. We met at college and just.. "clicked" We engaged in 4 months of dating (some call it stupid but whatever they can suck it) We moved in after 5 months, and we are happily enjoying our engagement. We are on the same emotional level, and he is all I have ever wanted.

I was proposed to on the bow of a sloop he sails on. pirate

Congratulations! It's stupid how some people put a time limit on love. It's rather rediculous. D:

Pirate couple, lol. x3
Yup, I like to sail on a 103ft Topsail Ketch, he sails on a shorter 70ft Sloop. I couldn't be happier really. I hate it when people go warglb blah angry face! >.< because we only dated for 4 months before he slipped a ring on my finger. He did it right even, asked my parents and everything. Poor man, he was trying not to panic when we sat down my parents. I love my mother in law she rocks ^__^. I guess I couldn't ask for more.

I'll be completely honest and tell you, I know nothing about boats. xD;

My mother-in-law to-be is a bit psycho, but I can deal with her. It's the father-in-law to-be that's a problem. He calls me a tramp, white trash, and just about everything else. .-.' You're very lucky. o:

Thank you~ ^^
And it's not a problem; they don't approve of me even having friends that are male, or how I dress in baggy clothing, so whatever. (I'm a girl. :3)
Yeah; we just need to get jobs so that I can live with him when I turn 18, hopefully. @ _ @
Danny and I have been together for two, going on three, years now, engaged for a year. ^^ <3<3

      I don't think I'd technically call myself engaged, or getting engaged, but my boyfriend and I are exchanging promise rings soon. I'm seventeen and he's eighteen.
      It's sort of similar, but then not really at all. Haha

      I hope everyone here who is engaged and underage is happy in the future. <3 I bet it's hard, and I hope everything works out for everyone!

"After 2.5 years of dating, after graduation, my hubby proposed at age 18. I was 19. We got married shortly after, we've been married a few months now. I don't support just anyone getting engaged or married young though. You need to understand everything involved in a relationship. You need maturity. You need security."

If you can't afford to support yourselves, I believe you should wait. However, not necessarily on engagement. Just the marriage.

"Well, yes, they need to wait on the marriage if they can't afford to support themselves. But, they also need to think realistically and actually set up a life plan. My hubby and I are working hard now, college didn't suit him. Hopefully millitary life does."

Wow, that sounds terribly over-bearing. D:

Jobs are hard to find right now, I've been out of work for about a year. ;-;

Aw, that's a long time. <3

That makes more sense. xD

Oh lord! My step mom's mother is the exact same way. It's all junk yet she won't throw any of it away. D:

I agree, once again. c: That's good that he's in the military. Military men are always such gentlemen. <3

I know, and Craig's List *sighs* Its like that man's crack or something. He goes off and buys useless s**t (example, a broken wood chipper with no hope of repair......) And its sitting in the garage, along with the billion antique desks and drawers. And the broken motorcycles and the.. just s**t. Crazy man. That is why my fiance and I are living together now. I basically said "No way, you are 24 and he treats you like you are 15 love I am getting you out of here" So I found a cheap place with my friends, also and underage couple

Damn Craig's List. xD; I think she just goes to yard sales and antique stores. Isn't it like, a mental condition or something? Eh, dunno.

That's great. I'd love to live with another couple, if only for the extra companionship. c:

Well as long as you love each other, plus it's not a huge age gap. :B

Might want to check your local age of consent and statutory rape laws dear. But I understand. If I had met my fiance 2 years sooner it would have been illegal. Though, looking back on it, I wouldn't have been emotionally mature enough to handle such a relationship.
