I regret going.

This. I was sick as a dog and the AC in the place wasn't working well. I could barely function about halfway through. No after party for me. I felt like I was hit by a truck, then it backed up over me, and then hit me again.

It was boring and I wanted to get out of high school as soon as possible anyway.

But I do have great high school memories.

That's pretty much how I feel about it.
Although, the only great high school memories thus far aren't really even school related.

I went to a pre-prom anyway, and it was really cool.

I didn't go to mine because it was in our own gym and I had to pay $50 per person to go inside. That, and adding along a $300 tux rent out as well as flowers and all that cliched stuff, I decided not to. Instead, I went out with a lot of friends.

9 months later, two of my friends that went are now daddies.

I left high school halfway through my junior year, so I never got the option of attending prom, and that doesn't bother me most of the time. Sometimes, though, I do wonder what my own prom experience would've been like.

But then again, I was never a very cool or popular kid, so I think my reputation in high school would've had to have been different from what it was in order for me to enjoy something like prom.

Oh well. I'll never know, so I don't think about it.
