Its not selfish but i'll tell you this... the only people it will effect is your family. No one cares that someone commits suicide thats why its dumb that someone would do it.

Lets roleplay real quick; How does it effect your family if they don't even care about you? Not your well-being, your health, nor your education; None of it. Its as if you do not exist, already.

If your family does not care, and what you said is true, then the situation we have is, the person feels lonely, no real definite reason to live; and to end their suffering they resort to suicide.

Happy? Didn't Think So.

Some way it's selfish. If you commit suicide I would think it would effect everyone around you. Even though you think that your family or friends wouldn't care. I don't believe that. They might make themselves believe that they don't care, but they really do. I think that your family would care very much. I wouldn't take my own life. You got to much to live for. You've a young teenage girl, you got so much to live for smile I really, really hope that you won't give up.

There is no reason for suicide. It's selfish, illogical, pointless, and just plain stupid. Honestly, there's only like three reasons that I've ever seen used, and I'll shoot them all down now:

"I'll go to heaven, and be free of this horrible place!" No, diptard, you'll go to hell. If there is a god, he will NOT approve of you throwing away his greatest gift so carelessly.

"Even hell is better than this" No, tardbreath, hell is THE WORST PLACE IMAGINABLE, and was designed to be so, so already it will be worse. If this truly is as bad as it gets, then you will be sending yourself from this world RIGHT BACK TO WHERE YOU STARTED. Except in Hell there's absolutely no hope of things ever getting better. EVER AS IN ETERNALLY, YOU ********.

I've been building up quite a bit of anger from the , and suicide seemed like an easy target to release it on, since I don't see any anti-gay-marriage people on this page. I apologize to anyone who is of the same opinion as myself, which appears to be the majority of this thread, so in hindsight this was pretty pointless, but there are those few out there, the bastards.

Well said ... but I would add the documented experiences of those suicide cases who have died and been revived. They come back screaming in horror and tell of the sights they have seen ... the torments of hell. Only ppl who commit suide, died and have been revived have these visions that haunt them for life. Everyone else see there bodies first, then walk around outside, see a benevolant being, have their lives pass before them in a flash, some have even made it to heaven and then got yanked back by some doctor who was working on them. Only the ones who tried to commit suicide went straight to hell. All of the ppl in this documantary I saw were not all Christians ... they came from all faiths and even non-believers/athiests. To say this event did not change their lives would be an understatement. Many here who have posted know so little about life after death. I am not afraid of death, for I know in my heart where I am going after I die ... do you know for certain where you are going?

One more thing ... this girl was my friend .. she was only 13 years old. What a waste of life. Life is what you make it. It is shaped by the choices you make. Suicide is not a viable choice and results in eternal separation from God's love. Love is the answer ... not suicide

I do not beleive suicide is selfish, but yet just an act, a desperate act, but not for attention , an alarm that the being reseding within the person is going threw some very rough times and could not take it anymore.

Isnt sacrifice a form of suicide afterall, yet no one thinks of sacrifice as selfish.

the question is will the being within wake up to learn that those experiences it is experiencing are only temporary within this life it has been given to experience.


I would seriously urge anyone that is considering suicide to please express those emotions trapped within, not by taking one's life, but by letting them go, things may not go well, things may go crappy, things may go super bad, however it does not mean it always so will be.

It is selfish cause it hurts all the ones that love you. Anyone that tells you different is a fool and doesn't know the meaning of life or what love is. And folks this girl was my friend and she is crying out for answers for she is seriously contemplating suicide. Depends on the situation, but if the individual has kids, bills, etc. then it is selfish. More so, its pathetic because it's often people who are fortunate and live in luxury.

That's not fair.
You can't call suicide selfish. Most people don't commit suicide just to make people around them sad..That's ridiculous. People commit suicide because they're too tired of life, they can't take the burden anymore. It's just too much. I personally think you can't tell a suicidal person not to commit suicide because everyone around them would be too sad and confused..Imagine if your only reason for living was for the people around you. It's actually selfish for someone to force a suicidal person to not kill themselves, just so that the suicidal person is in their life longer.
