Depression = Emo?

Depression is nothing like emo.
I've suffered from depression, I'm fighting it now and I'm not emo.
I may be into the alternative fashions, hair, make-up etc but that doesn't mean my depression is any less genuine.

I can say for sure depression is not being emo.

My mom had pretty bad depression and she is NOT emo. I've been living with her for almost 18 years now so I guess I know quite well how it is.

I think EMO is something people chose to be for a trend, but I got some friends calling themselves EMO since she fought with her boyfriend, now it's all because of pride.....not depression...I don't think it's even because of their emotions..... sweatdrop sweatdrop sweatdrop

Emo is a music style, and is used too much as a stereotype.
It's stupid, but just because you become depressed that doesn't mean you are emo.
It's pathetic on how the world thinks today.
