I finally had to do it. I didn't want a &*^%&$%^*(#&@ facebook account, but now I've been forced to get one.
Why?
Because my PEERS are so dependant on that stupid website that NOT having an account is actually hindering my academic success. So many people use it as the center of their lives now that I've run into problems in three of my classes and even where I work (among the others my age) during just the last two weeks.
Dammit.

Anyone else ever get stuck in this kind of situation?

i actually have to say no i have never had that problem. it doesnt bother me to have more than one way to keep in contact with my friends. especially my friends from my old school. facebook helps me with that. i dont quite see why you are so upset about the fact.
