Do you have a cultural veto?

Not too often, but every once and awhile I get my dander up about something	46.9%	[ 23 ]

I think that these "cultural vetos" are things that you think of more as time goes on. I was on a road trip for 14 hours and we kept coming up with our "veto's" the entire trip back.

No these are all things I can't stand at all and I hate how popular these things are/where. I didn't come up with them on some trip.

No these are all things I can't stand at all and I hate how popular these things are/where. I didn't come up with them on some trip.

I didn't mean you sat down and think "hmm, what should I decide not to like?" I just meant you remember more of them the more time you think about it. Such as if when you first made the list, and then a couple hours someone brings up crocs, and you remember how much you hate that craze as well. After spending 14 hours sitting in a car its surprising how many you remember.

By the way, that's reminds me. I hate the croc craze. Now I'm all about comfort over looks, but I think a little bit of aesthetic is a nice feature.

Harry Potter. Gawd, I hated that series... Actors these days aren't even actors, they're just pretty-boys with broken glasses.
I have tape on my glasses, and EVERYONE keep saying 'Ooh, like Harry Potter, eh?'
I say No, I'm wayyy cooler than he is.

The Twilight series. *sigh* I am sad to say that my boyfriend is obsessed with the series, and is trying to get every one of his friends obsessed to. Even my sister's joined the Edward fanclub.
Me, I think Jacob is WAy more kick-butt then anyone, but if I even attempt to talk about the book in a literary fashion (meaning, saying how awfully written it was) I get incarcerated.
So I try not to mention it.

This hasn't come out yet, but You Don't Mess With The Zohan. Actually, I hate all the movies Adam Sandler is in. He doesn't even change character, he just plays himself in every movie.
What really pissed me off though is how the director couldn't even be bothered to cast an actor of the proper ethnicity for the role. I mean, the character's Middle Eastern. And he's played by a white man. Man, that made me pissed. mad

Archie comics. Friggin thing's been around for over fifty years, you'd think the writers' would've given up by now

I know! I hate Adam Sandler. His roles has the same basic characteristic: being a dumbass. And that Don't Mess with the Zohan movie is kind of discriminatory to Middle Easterns. And how many movies is he in with Drew Barrymore?

Beastie Boys. I hate them so, so much. If I'm listening to the radio and they come on I have to change the station. Even if it's polka, I can't listen to them.

Oh god yes. That one I refuse to even read the summary just because the fans are so aggressive. But the snippets of what I've heard have only reinforced that notion.

That and vampires are over-romanticized leeches anyway.
