Do you have a cultural veto?

Not too often, but every once and awhile I get my dander up about something	46.9%	[ 23 ]

I didn't think McDonald's was really popular with anyone who isn't a young child. I do know it's very popular to bash it, though.

If you live in West Virginia, McDonalds is a place to go and hang out. So, I totally understand why anyone not from Hick Central would think it's only for young children. It's just really popular here, I suppose. This is one reason I can't wait to get to college. Just one more year, thank goodness.

Harry Potter. Gawd, I hated that series... Actors these days aren't even actors, they're just pretty-boys with broken glasses.
I have tape on my glasses, and EVERYONE keep saying 'Ooh, like Harry Potter, eh?'

The Twilight series. *sigh* I am sad to say that my boyfriend is obsessed with the series, and is trying to get every one of his friends obsessed to. Even my sister's joined the Edward fanclub.
Me, I think Jacob is WAy more kick-butt then anyone, but if I even attempt to talk about the book in a literary fashion (meaning, saying how awfully written it was) I get incarcerated.
So I try not to mention it.

This hasn't come out yet, but You Don't Mess With The Zohan. Actually, I hate all the movies Adam Sandler is in. He doesn't even change character, he just plays himself in every movie.
What really pissed me off though is how the director couldn't even be bothered to cast an actor of the proper ethnicity for the role. I mean, the character's Middle Eastern. And he's played by a white man. Man, that made me pissed. mad

Archie comics. Friggin thing's been around for over fifty years, you'd think the writers' would've given up by now

Which I why I don't believe in celebrity worship. Just because I like a certain song doesn't mean I'm going to obsess over the band like my life depends on it. True, you do end up getting them shoved down your throat. Though I do adore Tim Curry, and make a point in watching movies specifically because he's in them. But that's about the extent of it. If you like the actor, watch their movies. Don't try to figure out what type of underwear they use.

They're like really poor done versions of Leslie Nealson movies. Only with CONSTANT sex jokes. And really you can only take so many of those before you're completely bored.
