I find it hilarious how much the fanbase as grown. But whatever. One of my best guy friends is a major brony and it's gotten to a point where I'd say yes, it is a lifestyle. At least for him it is.
As for why I love the show, I like it's kiddish humour, since it's by the same lady who did work on Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. Maybe that's why the male fanbase likes it too? I don't know.

Wait, which mlp? first gen, second gen, one of the third generation (there's like three kinds there) or forth gen friendship is magic. Cause the one most bronies are into is the forth gen.
