well beauty, female beauty especialy, is the first thing men notice. sex wanting men and since all men want sex, every man. you should be attractive since they act like that.
right now i wouldn`t be flattered by such comments at all. i have a bf who i love and only he is allowed to express lodly what he wants thinks etc of me. i`d be pissed from someone else`s loudly oppinion of me. i`ve had simillar situations. for example once i remember i was in my aunt`s home and she was throwing a party. i was... around 12 i guess and suddenly the guys there started a game and i was the winner`s award. xp stare omg i was scared back then, i was so young and they were around 20. luckely my aunt came and stopped them. or some guys told me that whenever i feel ready for my first time i should call them, they`d make my first time painless and satisfying. neutral of course i haven`t seen them anymore but i guess how a virgin will act and a girl who is not a virgin will are different. one year ago when i still was, i was proposed to kiss a guy and even though he was... awesome or at least i thought he was back then, i refused stunned ....omg.... |

If jokes don't have boundaries especially when it comes to that, then its time to smash some faces in. This I suppose you can be flattered on some level, but being in that position would have pissed me off severally. Not to mention embarrass me in front of my, theoretical, boyfriend. In case you can't understand it, the way her friends were acting was embarassing and showing a lack of respect for her as a person. Unforunately this is the attitude some guys have towards women. I know how you feel...it gets better as you get older. I don't think that men necessarily change their views, but they get a bit more tactful about it. Next time, punch the guy who took the 'who-wants-to-sleep-with-her' poll, it's insanely rude and disrespectful.

A lot of guys just do it to "follow the crowd" rolleyes it's annoying. If they see one guy do it they'll do it mostly because they think it's cool. It's not it hurts a girls feelings and makes her feel insecure even if it is positive attention. There's really nothing you can do about these jerks acting the way they do, it's not like you can go up and punch them all in the mouth at the same time. Be the mature person and deal: if your boyfriend is having problems with it I suggest a talk with him because this could affect your relationship if these jerks go too far.

Does beauty automatically make it okay to objectify someone? Of course not. Or does it just make it easier? It does, but that doesn't make it right Any similar situations out there? All of my girl friends have the habit of grabbing my boobs since I'm the "hot friend". As for my guy friends, I'm sure that I don't want to know what they say to each other about me, since I hear what they say about their other lady friends. Let it feed your ego instead. Confidence is better than getting angry because people think that you're attractive. Any similar situations of your own? Yup. One time my guy friend told me that he was going to a slumber party and was supposed to bring a girl along. He asked me to go with him. I did this: " neutral ...are you ******** high? Get the hell out of my house." and I didn't talk to him for quite a while. I mean really. A boy/girl slumber party? With 17-18 year olds? What the hell do you think is going on there? Uhg. |

I developed early, and I had an older family friend (about 20 when I was 13) with friends that loved to talk about me that way. That's probably why until recently I was just like "Ehhh..." and ignored it. I did end up talking to my boyfriend about it, and he's still pretty pissed, but at least there's no issues between the two of us. And I did talk to a couple of my friends who did that, and they understood. It would be different if they were like "You're pretty," or something more appropriate. Saying stuff like "I want to bend you over the side of the couch" is way too much. |
