This is probably the wrong forum but I'm having trouble with one math question. It's dividing radicals by monomials. The question looks like this.

I'm tempted to say it's the second one...

Or am I just on the wrong track altogether?

I'd reaaaaaally appreciate it if someone could answer this because I'm having a lot of trouble and I have a test tomorrow.

It is the second one. Take it from a guy who took calculus for three years.

O_o we already solved it
i think the first one.
in the second one you can just take out the "1", which leaves a square root of a fraction all over three.
that just looks messy.
i mean, both answers are right, of course.

Ceort go leor.
why do people think the answer to an algebra question would be so messy?
oooo actually here's a better answer:
root 6
divided by 6.

if that made sense. because you're not supposed to divide by a irrational number.
so you had
root 3
divided by 3 times root 2.

you multiply the whole thing by
(root 2 over root 2)--&which is 1.

so the top becomes root 3 times root 2, which is root 6.
and the bottom becomes root 2 times root 2, which is 2. that times the 3 that was already there, which gives you 6.

sorry that's probably really confusing. but i'm pretty sure it's right.

i already said that last page
here this is clearer:
1√3
3√2

times that by:
√2
√2
^which is 1

and you get:
√3√2 = √6
3√2√2 = 3x2= 6

final answer:
√6
6
