I suppose it all depends on how you choose to define "God."
Personally, I've never found the subject worth getting annoyed over.

I think religion is just another extension of human creativity. The trouble is when people begin to take it all a little too personally.
It's all very fascinating really.

Yeah, like chatrooms off IRCs or Yahoo or so on and so forth, Discussing beliefs are perfectly fine, but then again the people that usually ruin it for others are people who like trolling forums and chatrooms lol It's that or you end up getting someone preaching to you about Jesus whee

which, i think, can be interesting in it's own way as well, depending on how you approach it.

Well, I have been agnostic for my whole life, and probably will remain so. But, dosen't it kinda bug you that where ever you go, someone has to ask you your'e religion(like if your'e meeting someone) and you say your'e agnostic, at least one person says, "Why don't you believe in God". And then a lot of people start treating you different like your'e diseased. That annoys me so much. You?

Rule #1 of the LD: 70% is Atheist/Agnostic.

i didnt know what agnostic even was until a few years ago when a long time friend whom i hadnt spoken to in years told me she was. i made sure she explained it for me so i would know what it was. being pagan i think i get where agnostics are coming from though i'll never claim i do.
i'm also agnostic but my parents and most of my extended family are christians.

I consider myself a follower of Agnostic Atheism, though i do tend to say i am Atheist because people don't understand what Agnostic Atheism is....

I'm agnostic and my boyfriend is christian so he tells me i'm going to hell a lot hahahah
but yeah no one really messes with me about it because i'll gladly list off ten facts why their precious god more than likely isn't real
But try reading the evolution of god, it's a good agnostic book
Once, i was buying sunglasses from this guy at a fleamarket and i was with my cousin and my best friend
so he asks us (after saying hello and talking about his glasses) "so what do you ladies belive in?" (or something to that point)
my best friend- "i'm atheist"
me- agnostic
my cuz- catholic

so he looks at me and my best friend and says "you just denyed the existance of god the creator of heaven and earth" blah blah blah

>.<

i have heard of this book.
it sounds fascinating.
I think the only people I actually cant be open minded towards are Jehovah Witnesses.... They believe in the same god and all but.. I could never understand why they never celebrate events and holidays... I mean they're not bad people i just cant seem to understand or even try lol
The children I use to go to school with would always be left out of school activities on a holiday because of their families beliefs, I always found that really sad cry

I had a friend growing up who was a Jehova Witness. I never really understood it, but she seemed pretty content to not have anything to do with holidays.

I guess for someone like us who grew up with holidays it might seem like a big deal, but I think if you grew up that way it wouldn't matter very much.
I don't think it's really hurting anyone. Most holidays are pretty overcomercialized anyway. Sometimes I think it would be better if it wasn't such a big deal in our culture.
And here I thought I was the only agnostic...
Anyway, I'm not completely sure I'm agnostic, but based on what I've looked up, I'm pretty sure I am.
I believe that there may or may not be a god (possibly the Christian one), but we can't or haven't proven either.

Yeah...
My boyfriend's family used to ask me: "So, what Church do you go to?"
It's like...you assume everyone is religious?
I just tell them I just don't go and leave it at that.
My personal beliefs I only talk about when asked...or if I actually feel like discussing it.
The part is they don't ask me. People could care about religion. They just want to get by .
