They're not realy related.
Athiests don't believe in religion AT ALL, and don't even believe it could be true.
Agnostics don't believe in organized relgion, and don't believe it's their right to know.
Basically if you draw a line and have Religion at one end, Athieism would be at the other, and Agnosticism would be in the middle.

Furthermore, you can have agnostic atheists and agnostic theists. There are also gnostic theists and gnostic atheists.
The noun asserts belief while the adjective asserts the level of knowledge.

Well, I have been agnostic for my whole life, and probably will remain so. But, dosen't it kinda bug you that where ever you go, someone has to ask you your'e religion(like if your'e meeting someone) and you say your'e agnostic, at least one person says, "Why don't you believe in God". And then a lot of people start treating you different like your'e diseased. That annoys me so much. You?

A lot of people confuse being Agnostic with being Atheist. Also, most people believe you can't go through life without a religion.

I suppose to a lot of people, we could be considered as trash of some strange sort. Which quite frankly, I don't give a damn.

For the most part people don't really harrass me, but everyone once in a while I get people you give me a snotty look and saying something like "So you just don't know what you believe." stare
Being Agnostic is not just being "undecided."

Yes, I love to learn about other religions and being agnostic helps, because you're not so set on one religion that your mind is narrow.

I've had people ask if agnostic is the same as atheists, but I smooth that out really quick.

Don't get me wrong, atheist aren't bad people, same with all other religions, but I'm a strong believer in another...let's say, energy, out there.

I guess you could call me agnostic maybe? Im non-denominal too? I dont know, call me what you want but I keep a good open mind to other peoples beliefs, I don't consider myself religous even though for the past 6 months ive been obsessed with researching the revelations and antichrist, for some odd reason I find it really interesting just as much as the big bang theory. But I'm not atheist i know that much. Maybe I just confuse myself too easily 3nodding

From my understanding. Agnostic is NOT a religion. It is a way of thought of understanding both religion and science cannot be fully known and that human knowledge is limited to experience. It is not a belief in a higher power or anything, it just understanding that we know nothing of the truth.

I suppose it all depends on how you choose to define "God."
Personally, I've never found the subject worth getting annoyed over.

I think religion is just another extension of human creativity. The trouble is when people begin to take it all a little too personally.
It's all very fascinating really.
