Agnostic. Anybody else?

Well, I have been agnostic for my whole life, and probably will remain so. But, dosen't it kinda bug you that where ever you go, someone has to ask you your'e religion(like if your'e meeting someone) and you say your'e agnostic, at least one person says, "Why don't you believe in God". And then a lot of people start treating you different like your'e diseased. That annoys me so much. You?

i know the feeling.

my former best friend decided to become a christian all of a sudden when we were both about 13, and then felt the need to inform me that i am going to hell because i don't "accept jesus" as my "saviour".

interestingly, at that time, i had recently STOPPED believing in god and attending church, but prior to my friend's instant conversion, i had been attending church every sunday since i was born.

to be fair, i look at people differently when i find out that they ARE in fact religious. i try not to treat them any differently, but secretly i begin to suspect their intelligence and maturity.

as far as agnosticism vs atheism goes, all i have to say is: never trust anyone who claims to have all of the answers.

amen. I'm not entirely positive that I would be considered entirely an atheist, because while I flat out DO NOT BELIEVE IN JESUS OR GOD, I do believe that there are somethings that can't be explained by science.

I'm what is called a "Strong Agnostic".
I can even have proof and I will remain Agnostic.
I believe it's not my place to know, and if it's really important I'll find out when I need to.

Never been called an Athiest.

I'm also facinated in learning other people's religions, because I guess being Agnostic allows me to be open minded about them?

They're not realy related.
Athiests don't believe in religion AT ALL, and don't even believe it could be true.
Agnostics don't believe in organized relgion, and don't believe it's their right to know.
Basically if you draw a line and have Religion at one end, Athieism would be at the other, and Agnosticism would be in the middle.
