For the first time in one or two years my mother has gone back to the hospital. She's a diabetic and she's been keeping track of it and everything. Today she had an episode. She goes off to the hospital and no one BOTHERS to tell me. Like I wouldn't just immediately worry about her. Hell I'm always worried about my mother, even when someone is close to her. Of course I come downstairs, at first, and I think she just went out shopping or something. I get on her computer because well...I'm downstairs with her on the nights that my father works which is every night except for Monday and Thursday. Now I feel like crap just because I didn't go find out what happened and just assumed that my mother was just out. Well the friend of the family comes downstairs and immediately demands why I'm on my mothers computer, and he knows why he has always known why, and I go "Where's mom" and he tells me "She had another episode, she's in the hospital?" and Immediately I start crying (I'm still crying that is) and I just...I sit here crying and the b*****d friend doesn't even DO anything. He merely gets on my case and begins to yell at me.

I'm...I only posted this because of two reasons.

1: I have no idea what to do because I can't call my mother or my father seeing as they're at the hospital
2: I feel crappy because I didn't immediately ask where my mother was.

Help?

UPDATE!!

MY MOTHER IS DOING FINE AND SHE'S ON HER WAY HOME AS I TYPE THIS!!!

Aww hun don't cry, it's not your fault, you assumed she was shopping, how were you to know that she was taken ill?

Your mum's friend is a b*****d for yelling at you, he's probably worried for your mum but you're her daughter and will be more worried, so yelling at you would achieve nothing. As an adult her friend should have behaved better.

I hope your mum gets better.

You can call the hospital and give them her name and date of birth, they should be able to tell you something as you're immediate family, or they can put your father on the phone to you.

that's just the thing though. I do not know the number to the hospital she is in or even which hospital she's at. Because she could be in either Strong Memorial Hospital OR her very own hospital which I can't remember the name of. It's upsetting that I don't even know which hospital she's in.

You could always ask around which hospital she could be at. And explain to your family friend that you assumed she was just out. I'm sure they'd know that if you knew she was in trouble, you wouldn't be on the computer. You'd either be by her side or doing something else to get your mind off of it. You're not at fault here, so don't worry about it. =)

EDIT~ If nobody knows where she was admitted, you could always look up numbers in the phone book for each hospital, and call and ask each if she's been admitted there, and I'm sure they'll give you her room number and phone number.

I don't talk to the friend of the family because he is such a douche. He thinks that he's supposed to be the man of the house but he isn't. He tries to act like my father and it just...it isn't right so I don't talk to him.
Plus I could call my dad's cell phone but hell I don't know the number. DAMMIT!

Seriously, just get a phonebook or look up the numbers online for each hospital, write them down, and call. They'll be more than happy to tell you if your mom's been admitted there, plus it'll give you ease of mind once you know where she is. If nobody's going to tell you where she is where you live, you have the right to find out where she is for yourself.

I would much rather call my dad and find out. But I don't know what in the hell he's doing. But meh I'll go call him.
