Just a question, to those wondering about the LI

I have Scoptopic Sensitivity Syndrome.
What happens is like Dyslexia, but not quite.
The words start merging together, and you find it difficult to read the text you are reading. Right now I'm finding it difficult to read this, because my words merge and leave a green background type thing.
(sorry I'm not very good at describing things very well)

To combat this, my teachers in College print of handouts on green paper, and i write in green ink, but for exams that is not possile, so when i have to read black ink on white paper, i have a grass green overlay, which elliminates the green resedue that the black ink creates. Which just helps me read.

So anyways
I was just wondering if anyone in the LI has heard of or has Scoptopic Sensitivity Syndrome.
Because i only know one person personally who has it, and she also has dyslexia.
So if anyone has it. What do you do to help it, etc..

Turns out my mum doesnt care much for what it is either...
I said no ones heard of Scoptopic Sensitivity Syndrome
her response:
"Wha...Wha, wait what Syndrome......"

Eughhhh

Yes, just now!

You see a doctor

The fact that she's using specific aids to help her clearly shows that she's been seen and diagnosed by a doctor. rolleyes
I've never heard of it before, sounds like a very confusing and quite annoying problem to have - I guess unlike dyslexia you can't be given strategies that help you stop doing it except for obviously the green overlay D:

I'm currently being screened for dyslexia amongst other things, I have a habit of ignoring the words and seeing the gaps between them. My English teachers found it very annoying when I'd comment on the patterns caused by the gaps.

You dont see a doctor about this type of thing, You have to see a specialist.
Which i did, i have the correct equipment to help me read.

@: Hidden Agenda
That must be a pain
but fun for you when you annoy your english teacher.

@: Gramps
It is a pain really, when its black and white ink, i can barely read it, so im really slow at reading.
And thankyou for calling me intelligent
I think my Spanish teacher has that, or something like it.
He used like a green translucent cover thing that he put over the reading so he could read.

haven't heard of that one but I've heard of disorders with visual spatial difficulties and the affected can wear certain color glasses and it helps (red most common, sometimes yellow)
Perhaps you can get green lensed glasses wink
