I agree with Doctor Gracie. What he did was wrong, but it was obvious even to you that your parents marriage wasn't working out. I don't condone what he has done at all, but I don't think you start to hate him or anything like that. There's nothing that you can do so just let you parents deal with it.

I still love my father as a father, but I can't respect him as a person.

As much as I'd love to let my "parents deal with it", it's not that easy. If it was, I'd've never made this thread in the first place.
