Is it weird to give your therapist a valentines gift?

A card is fine, a stuffed animal is pushing it a little. I'm a therapist and we have incredibly strict guidelines on accepting gifts in our Code of Ethics. I received dozens of Christmas cards, but I had to give the candy back. sad

One year for Valentine's all of my co-workers and I just pooled the candy we were given in the break room and shared it all, so as not to be "accepting" gifts from our "own" patients. ninja

I gave my old therapist a writing book.
But i cant see him no more because my mommy took me to a different one and now i have to go to Group Therapy. >.<
