Since recently..

I have been overwhelmed by a whole load.. of new emotions and feelings i have never felt.

It all started when i met a girl, fell in love.

Now my emotions are controlling me..

caused me to cry 3 times in public.

infront of a bargain shop cashier

a game shop cashier

and a cop.

How do i control these damn feelings of mine

Huh. It's not often I meet another Gareth. Though I do get one's email every now and then. He even has the same last name as me.

Okay, so from now on when your emotions get too strong, start doing your homework in your head

Wait a second. What does loving a girl having to do with crying in front of unrelated people? Why did you cry in the first place? Perhaps the solution isn't just stuffing your emotions and hoping they go away... but resolving the issue(s) that has caused you to try in the first place.

But honestly, there isn't a shame in crying. It's a natural reaction to a number of stimuli (including fear, stress, anger, joy, love, pain...). So sometimes crying just can't be helped. It's not crying that's a problem, it's what you do about it and how you proceed after that's what really is the test. If you just have a good cry and then deal with the situation, there is nothing wrong with that at all. If you have a cry and then just wallow in self-pity without trying to move forward, then it's a problem. But realistically... if you weren't supposed to cry you wouldn't have tear ducts that function that way. Tears are not shameful. You can cry and still move forward and get through tough situations with strength and bravery.
