i met this little girl on monday she is 11 years old and have no friends i know how she feels sence i was big also at her age well i'm 16 and wen i go over her house (she lives across the hall from me in my apartment) we play dolls and barbies then go to my house and record eachother singing and dance then play with her dolls at are house i want her happy so i do it and try to have fun but somtimes i dont think i can do it but i do anything because i am her only friend and she has no one els to play with what can i do?

it does mean alot to her she never wants me to leave and i dont want to leave but i dont think her mom really likes it i do have fun when we play because she is one of my only friends which if you think about it is kinda sad

If you mean like going to the mall or shopping, just introduce it to her.
Treat her like your little sister.
Just make sure her mom is fine with you hanging out with her and such.

no i dont think my mom would even let me take her 10 feet out of the apartment building and i dont mean shopping its fine if we stay at the house but i mean if where at mine we can play games on the computer i know some websites i know she would like the last time we did she had alot of fun but ended up going back to her barbies i do treat her like a little sister to tell you the truth i'm being a big sister to her that i wish i had when i was little

Is there a park or any other place nearby where other children her age hang out? If so, you could try taking her there so she can hopefully make some more friends who are closer to her age. (EDIT: Just noticed that you said her mom wouldn't let you take her out. Suggest that she take her daughter to a place with more kids herself, then, and maybe volunteer to go with them if you want to.)

I don't think you should ditch her altogether, but if spending time with her annoys you, I suggest that you should make it clear to her (or better yet, her parents) that you need some time to yourself. I doubt they would be offended, especially if you still spent a bit of time with her.

How come she doesn't have any friends who are around her age, though?

Introduce her to things that she would enjoy more if she does them by herself (i.e. painting, writing, drawing, etc.)

Or you two could go out and hang at the 11 year old hot spots (when I was 11 it was the skating rink, no idea what 11 year olds do now). You could have her make friends wherever that is, but still have, say, one day a week where you two hang out.

Maybe talk to her parents about sending her to a summer day camp?

I doubt it would be that hard. The key is that a lonely little girl will do anything as long as
there's company. Just take her to do something else, she won't mind. Good luck.

Have a picnic inside.
Play some board games.
Bake some cookies.
Find a park.
Offer to babysit (get some money out of it)

I have a four-year-old sister, and we have a great time. You'd be surprised the fun you can have with a four-year-old, doll!
