i'm not sure if this goes in here, but it seems like a long life repeating thing.

if you've ever twisted your knee the wrong way question i inverted pivot and probably tore something 2 years ago. i thought this was all in my head, but come the cold seasons my knee aches. i can't have arthritis now, or else it would be all over my body and not just one focused area.

so i hear a lot, cuz i tend to stick around the knesiology classes, that people have injured their leg some way, and now they can't run or walk too much, or as much as they use to.
and if i happen to have this life time problematic injury, what would i do?
do i ice/heat it every time i acts up question
the last thing i want is to just pop a pill

and for some reason i torture myself with gym classes in college, like jogging, walking, karate, swimming. even though it's not a GE thing it's fun and relaxing.

See a doctor?
im on a swim team, but my whole life i have had bad aches and pains. my mom never took concern, cuz i always rubbed it off. well, the past few weeks my knees and elbows hurt so bad i cant swim as fast, or do some strokes. yesterday i was sitting down and my leg started to tingle, i didnt think about it till now, but i pinched my skin... i couldn't feel a single thing. it had done this my whole life but i would move it and think it was normal. now im thinking its something more. but one thing that really opens my eyes, is im 14 with this. idk if i should tell my mom. but i hope its nothing serious. i know how it can suck tho >.> and how much it hurts!

I have not injured my knee but I think you should stop doing that amount of exercise and see a doctor instead.
You're just worsening the problem.
Don't do any activity that hurts.

Is there swelling?

Ice, elevation, rest, and a compression sleeve are all good.

You can get arthritis in the knee.

You should see a doctor.

I was expecting an arrow.

Anyway, like the others said, get it checked out. Your knee is kinda something you use every day. You don't wanna go and permanently injuring something like that or suffering b/c of it.

I brusied my ACL back in high school. I was fine after icing it. Then I shattered my kneecap and re-bruised my ACL last year. I had the surgery and did the PT and it hasn't helped. I can walk about 2 miles before it starts to hurt. I havent ridden a bike since, but thats going to change.
It can be painfull.

User ImageYou should see a doctor. My boyfriend just had his knee surgery done and has recovered well. Do it now before you get a job and get fired for the long time it takes to heal such things if you should need a surgery to fix it. Although, the company he worked for sucked so it could just be them...
