Uhhh... USA is actually doing more to help than any country so far that I've gone through. Hell, Japan specifically requested for them to help them, because of their expertised in Earthquakes as well as their Nuclear.
Heck, they have the USS Ronald Reagan off the coast of Japan to have the Defense Force Aircraft land on them for refueling.
They even have cleaned up the Sendai Airport that was damaged in the Tsunami, so now they can have aircraft land now.
They've even donated 49 million dollars fairly slowly, but they actually donated that much.
So in essence, do the research, they're all over the news.
