This was brought to my attention by my community college's Japan Club:

If you live in Southern California, there's a Japanese film festival in Los Angeles and Irvine, CA. All profits made at the film festival will be donated to victims of Japan Earthquake and Tsunami via Japanese Red Cross Society. It's a great chance to see a Japanese film and help the country out at the same time. If you're curious about the movies that will be shown,
here's a list. ^^ Directors Kinshiro Ogino, Katsuhito Kobayashi, Kenji Kobayashi, Lisa Takeba, Shoichi Kawahara, Hidetaka Inazuka are said to make appearances at the festival.
I'm hoping to go to the Starplex Cinema 5 in Irvine this Saturday and see Shodo Girls-Blue Blue Sky and The Billion Yen Jackpot.
