Looking away from the strange sight outside and to the man above her Paige felt a shiver run through her body. She was going to die. She could feel it. They were going to plundge into the water below them...Or should she be hoping for land? Land would be quicker after all, wouldn't it?
Head whipping around to watch Darien head towards the front of the plane Paige grabbed ahold of the screaming cat and held the creature tight to her chest. Earning cuts and becoming fearful for her eyes as well as her life, but she couldn't let her go. Clinging on and falling back into the seat as the plane was jarred again Paige felt a bruise form on her side, "Be careful!" He needed to sit down as well! Sit down, and hold on tight, and pray. Turning back to the window Paige leaned close, peering out at what she had thought was some strange form of lightning, and what now, undoubtably, were eyes.
She had to be dreaming, yes, that was what was going on. She was dreaming, a nightmare, such things did not happen. Staring in slock mouthed horror she watched the monster's hand come up, appearing to move in slow motion as it dug claws in to a portion of the plane. Latching down, gripping, twisting, and tearing off a large portion. In an instant half of the pieces within the expensive little kitchen had vanished into the dark abyss, one of the well prepared hostesses screamed, and the scream dwindled into nothing.
"It's okay, it's okay, it'sokayit'sokayit'sokay..." Holding even tighter to the cat Paige dug her heels into the carpeted cabin floor as the air within the plane rushed towards the hole and it became difficult to breathe. What if the creature let go, could they still fly, could they get somewhere safe? A soft landing in the water perhaps?
At the faintest sound like something shivering Paige looked away, eyes going to the cockpit and the panicked attendant and captain within. It was not them making the strange noise, but the ground. Pitch black and moving, saucer-like golden eyes, tiny clawed hands. Gasping and feeling blood rush from her features Paige watched one of the smaller monsters lunge at the captain, not attempting to attack, but going right through him it seemed. Almost instantly the man lost all color and the light was gone from his eyes. Collapsing to his knees the young woman could see the creature latched on to the captain's chair, in one of his clawed hands a large, glowing, pink heart struggling to beat against the nails before vanishing in a rush of black smoke.
As quickly as the heart was gone the creature jumped again, joining the monster that had emerged with it in assaulting the frozen flight attendant.
