“Ah, wonderful.” Another smile as it seemed the woman would be missing her last class after all. That would certainly save them time. “This way then, I left the car out front near the entrance. I left it with a very capable staff member who seemed more than willing to watch it until I returned.” They would do anything for money really, and there was plenty of that to go around. The man was really just one of the teachers about to leave the building but someone needed to keep watch over the expensive vehicle, it was parked illegally after all. But money in this society wavered even the strictest of laws, humans could get away with murder if they had enough money to hire a fancy attorney. Fascinating creatures, the lot of them.

“You will have to give me directions on how to make it to your house, Miss Evans.” Once outside the man wasted no time moving to the expensive black car that had indeed been parked right out front with the other teacher waiting beside it nervously. A smile and thanks was exchanged as was another fair deal of money before the man opened the passenger side door (on the other side of where it would be in America of course) waiting for the girl. “We haven’t much time, I suggest you consider what you wish to pack on the way over there.”
Following Darien out Paige didn't know quite what to expect. Of course, logic told her to expect something great. Employee or not he was a part of Funtom and Funtom reached everywhere. But the fact that they were at her college and such extravagance would not fit in...She couldn't picture it and was surprised to see the actual vehicle that logic demanded. A great deal of other students were also shocked to see a vehicle of such caliber waiting calmly by the front offices. Men mostly, wondering about make and model and price. It made Paige's cheeks redden again, moreso when Darien opened the wrong door for her, it felt taboo...But at least he didn't expect her to drive, that was a blessing, but it didn't mean she was comfortable at the thought of the strange man driving the backwards car.

"Stop that!" She kept her voice quiet as she hurried over to the passenger side, "I know how to get in a car myself, thank you, but I'm fine." Anything that caused people to stare she didn't like. For someone that was expected to be a highlight in aristocratic society it was not the best weakness, "And directions...Right." she slipped in, putting the bag between her legs and looking about the interior of the car with a nervous frown. Far too grand, far too nice, she shouldn't be in it, "Just use the main exit and take a left, pretty much a straight shot."

Refraining from telling the woman it was a fact she would simply need to live with, instead the man moved with a sigh to driver’s seat, as soon as the door was closed and he made certain the woman was safely fastened he started the vehicle and slipped it easily into the correct gear. He pulled out and around and from there he gradually picked up speed. The vehicle was certainly well built, one could hardly feel the bumps of the road or the sounds outside and it went fast well. Slate blue eyes flickered to the dash panel that was glowing a faint blue in the dark interior, they had precisely forty-five minutes to make it to the plane. Plenty of time. He kicked the car into gear moving smoothly through traffic with ease and a perfectly calm expression still in place. The car slid easily in and out of slow moving obstacles and made stunt work look easy, likely it was the exact kind of car one would use in stunt work. “You will have to let me know which one it is…” His eyes flicked to the side, glancing over the rows of houses they were passing. Typical middle class houses, nothing special.
She had to be dreaming.

Or drugged.

Or she had died and was in some strange form of heaven.

Those were the only explainations for the finery that now cocooned her. Staring about the inner workings of the private jet Paige's eyes were wide enough that one might be afraid of them slipping out of her sockets. Soft, pale peach, carpet cushioned her feet. Two well spaced rows of expensive leather chairs. What appeared to be actual wooden tables at each row of expensive leather chairs. And uniformed, perfectly polite, proper, and beautiful attendants prepared for everything from the request for a blanket to a four course meal. Paige was absolutely petrified.

At Darien's bidding she had gotten a quick shower upon returning to her home, but she still looked nowhere near fitting in. Clean, yes, but dressed in ragged jeans and an old hoodie that, while had been miraculously washed while she was in the shower, did not scream wealth. It screamed hobo. She did not belong there, not at all. Sitting in one of the many seats with a stiff back and terrified expression Paige continued to look about the cabin and attempt to get her barings. It did little good. She was a couple thousand feet in the air, in a multi-million dollar jet, going away from her home and school to a country she hardly knew a thing about. There was no possible way to be comfortable.

Glancing away from the cloud filled window, it was getting unsettlingly dark out and Paige did not want to think abotu flying through a storm, the young woman regarded her strange companion again. She still did not understand how he could appear so calm in such a situation. As if he gathered up poor young women from college every day and transported them to lands filled with riches...Well, he was strange, who knew? As much as the man assured her that it was his job, every bow, every 'My Lady', and every carefully attended to detail was just too much for Paige to comprehend. Really, out of the whole day finding out that her father had owned one of the largest companies in the world was the easiest thing to digest.

Sighing just at the thought and feeling a headache coming on Paige finally sunk back into the seat she perched so tensely upon. Comfortable...No, a cloud really. There was nothing she could do to object to her body relaxing as she let herself sink into the expensive seating beneith her. Keisha had already gotten used to it and, somehow, a pet bed that would likely drain her bank account had been provided for the tabby to rest upon.

"Absolutely ridiculous..." She didn't even mean to say it, but that was what the situation was. Ridiculous and unbelievable, and all around strange. Bringing a hand to her forehead she sighed, but was unable to keep the position for long as one of the attendants approached with their omni-present smiles.

"My Lady."

Tensing and jumping slightly the woman's smile turned apologetic for startling her and she held out a small tray that contained a glass of sparkling water and two pills, "For your head." And the smile shifted again, that time to pride as Paige stared in shock, wondering if the woman was psychic in some form as she reached out to take the offered medicine with a nervous 'thank you'.

“Are you nervous?” Darien asked, looking over curiously at the woman seated nearby. He had picked up on the tension, the shift in emotion almost immediately. Certainly it must have been a bit…strange for her. Why, she was currently on a plane thousands of miles into the sky heading far away from her home to enter an entirely different country with a stranger she had never met before. It wasn’t the smartest decision one could make, but he was rather glad she had. It would have been problematic otherwise and he wasn’t certain how he could make the girl come with him under any other circumstances.

He tipped the dark glasses slightly, looking out the window at the sky around them. It was thick and dark, as if with storm. The plane would occasionally jerk up and down violently as it hit the waves of turbulence in the air—and it seemed to be happening more frequently. His eyes flicked to the above storage containers as the light blinked on to fasten seatbelts. Something was off, there was no bad weather reported for that afternoon…no, it should have been perfectly clear. He frowned a bit, looking out the window again. A flash of lightning surged through the clouds around the plane.

“Hm, this is unexpected…I shall have a word with the captain about our travel conditions, we might have to land prematurely.” He sighed, hand poised over the seatbelt and then the lights went out. The cabin became dark if only for a moment before the emergency lights flickered on. Something was definitely not right.
Features drawn into a concerned frown Paige tried to look as calm as possible as she buckled her seatbelts as the signs came on. Of course she was nervous, she was terrified! By that point they had to be over the ocean, what kind of premature landing was he thinking about!?

"K-Keisha!" The cat could finally take no more and launched herself out of the seat she had rested upon. Paige lunged forward, but the seatbelt held her back, causing the young woman to slam backwards with a grunt of pain, the cat vanishing into the darkness as the lights went out. Pausing and looking about at the few red lights that were visible in various cornors Paige felt her blood run cold. Bad idea, bad, terrible, foolish idea.

"Keisha!" Clicking her tongue Paige unbuckled herself and stumbled to her feet, looking about with wide eyes, doing what she could to see in the dark cabin. A flash of lightning made the feline's eyes light up, drawing the concerned young woman's attention to the petrified cat, "There you are." Letting out a breathless sigh she hurried to the creature, bending down to scoop her out from one of the many expensive chairs. One hand on the wall of the airplane near the window another bolt of lightning lit up the innards of the vehicle. She froze.

Hand still wrapped around the furry belly Paige stared out into the pitch black sky, certain what she was seeing was wrong. It had to be a strange storm cloud and nothing more. There were not enormous golden eyes in the sky, nor were their tendrils of darkness wraping about the plane, there were no such things. It was just a cloud...Just a cloud...

“Hey! Be careful!” Darien quickly released the seatbelt standing up and ignoring the attendants warnings not to do so as he moved after the woman as she chased after the cat. But a sudden shock of turbulence unsettled his balance and he landed hard against one of the seats. The plane shook—violently. A low growl escaped the man’s throat as he ripped off his sunglasses and moved into the darkness.

“Sit down, it’s going to become worse.” He placed a hand upon the woman’s shoulder, uttering the warning before he pushed his way past the attendant and to the crew cabin. They looked just as alarmed as the flight attendants, and staring in horror at what appeared to be some kind of giant…a black creature, a demon? A lesser? Darien was highly confused as he laid eyes on the creature.

“What is going on?! Why aren’t we moving?” The plane had come to a complete halt, yet it was still bouncing up and down.

“S-s-something has the plane! A-a monster! Demon!” One of the captains shouted, trying to yank the controls back into working order but the engines just gave a loud whirring sound and then an explosion sounded and the plane jerked violently to the left. It lurched and Darien caught himself hard against the side of the cabin, one of the flight attendants screamed and fell to the floor outside and the co-pilot stood up and looked at the emergency exit in contemplation.

And then there was tearing, the sound of metal being ripped apart. Darien’s eyes widened and he rushed back into the main cabin just in time to witness a hole being torn in the side of the plane.
Looking away from the strange sight outside and to the man above her Paige felt a shiver run through her body. She was going to die. She could feel it. They were going to plundge into the water below them...Or should she be hoping for land? Land would be quicker after all, wouldn't it?

Head whipping around to watch Darien head towards the front of the plane Paige grabbed ahold of the screaming cat and held the creature tight to her chest. Earning cuts and becoming fearful for her eyes as well as her life, but she couldn't let her go. Clinging on and falling back into the seat as the plane was jarred again Paige felt a bruise form on her side, "Be careful!" He needed to sit down as well! Sit down, and hold on tight, and pray. Turning back to the window Paige leaned close, peering out at what she had thought was some strange form of lightning, and what now, undoubtably, were eyes.

She had to be dreaming, yes, that was what was going on. She was dreaming, a nightmare, such things did not happen. Staring in slock mouthed horror she watched the monster's hand come up, appearing to move in slow motion as it dug claws in to a portion of the plane. Latching down, gripping, twisting, and tearing off a large portion. In an instant half of the pieces within the expensive little kitchen had vanished into the dark abyss, one of the well prepared hostesses screamed, and the scream dwindled into nothing.

"It's okay, it's okay, it'sokayit'sokayit'sokay..." Holding even tighter to the cat Paige dug her heels into the carpeted cabin floor as the air within the plane rushed towards the hole and it became difficult to breathe. What if the creature let go, could they still fly, could they get somewhere safe? A soft landing in the water perhaps?

At the faintest sound like something shivering Paige looked away, eyes going to the cockpit and the panicked attendant and captain within. It was not them making the strange noise, but the ground. Pitch black and moving, saucer-like golden eyes, tiny clawed hands. Gasping and feeling blood rush from her features Paige watched one of the smaller monsters lunge at the captain, not attempting to attack, but going right through him it seemed. Almost instantly the man lost all color and the light was gone from his eyes. Collapsing to his knees the young woman could see the creature latched on to the captain's chair, in one of his clawed hands a large, glowing, pink heart struggling to beat against the nails before vanishing in a rush of black smoke.

As quickly as the heart was gone the creature jumped again, joining the monster that had emerged with it in assaulting the frozen flight attendant.

“What’s going on…?” Darien growled, trying to hold his footing on the plane that continued to lurch back and forth, his eyes darting to the dark creature outside. Was it a demon? He didn’t sense any demonic energy from it…it had to be something else but he couldn’t comprehend what it was.

“Stay back!” He yelled over the whipping wind and tearing thunder that overpowered all sounds in the small cabin area. His eyes widened slightly as he caught sight of the black creatures on the plane and…was that a heart?

“What…are these things?” He stared in confusion as they continued to flood the plane before they came too close. Whatever they were, they could be killed no doubt. He sighed and tensed, letting a wave of bright blue flames wash temporarily over the creatures before disappearing. And then the plane shook again and the large, black creature reached a claw in, tearing more of the plane siding. It was going to be crushed at this rate.

“Go! We’re getting out of here!” He reached over, taking Paige sharply and leading her to the door, “Our only chance is to escape this.”
"Ah~see? Now that's perfect!" With a yank of the gooey controls Undertaker made a harsh enough turn as to throw the passengers against the side of the ship. Not that it mattered, it would be extremely difficult for someone to harm themselves in such a machine.

Bracing himself against one of the eeriely flexible walls William glared at the back of his superior's head, "What's perfect? You've been driving us around in some...Some pitch black hell hole for the past three hours, what could you possibly have found!" The man's laughter did very little to soothe William. But he tried to figure out exactly what Undertaker was getting at, watching one of the black nails as it pointed to a flickering star that was straight ahead of them, "And?"

"It's a dying world." Frowning at how well versed the shinigami appeared William opened his mouth to object, but he was cut off by the kind of strange sounds one would expect to hear from a dying frog as multiple dials, knobs, and switches were controlled by Undertaker, "Let's go take a look!"

"But if it's-"

"You'll want to buckle in now." Glancing to Grell with his frown still in place William reluctantly obeyed. He knew that slightly serious twinge to the man's tone and he was glad that he listened. No sooner had the squishy latches of his chair been fitted into place the ship took off with a gut wrenching speed towards the black void that was slowly swallowing up the world.

To Paige the flames were nothing more than another strange function of the creatures. They came from the shadows and vanished in flames, and that was all she knew. Considering everything that was occuring about them she accepted the shock of seeing the element in such ap lace rather well. Keisha on the other hand yowled again, screaming, and leaving more gashes within her owner's neck and arms.

"Get out?" Paige repeated, staring at the stranger with wide eyes and a less than pleased expression. Was he mad!? There was no way to just get out, and yet he tugged her to the emergency exit with all intentions of throwing her out, "Absolutely not!" A squeak of fear escaped her as another portion of the plane was ripped away and an enormous golden eye peered in at them. What little color the student had kept ahold of rushed from her features and she squeezed herself close to the man's side, "We can't just jump!" she looked back up to Darien, brows together as she tried to comprehend just why he would think that it was such a wonderful idea to make the leap, "Even if we are over the water, it wouldn't matter! I took physics, the force would kill us!"

“Ow! Ow, ow, owww~” Grell complained, rubbing his head which had just knocked against the side of the ship. For stretchy, gooey material it still hurt when your body was thrown against it. He whined, leaning his head between his legs with the hands still rubbing the sore spot right before the ship arrived at what was assumed to be another world. Slowly, the redhead looked up and out the little window in the front of the ship.

“Eeeh? What’s that?” He was still rubbing his head when he stood up and moved to the front of the ship to look at the strange black creature in the distance. It looked like those shadow things only much, much larger. It looked like it was about to crush that ship. “Aw that’s too bad, looks like this world is already done for.”

“Yes well, your physics has yet to take these kinds of situations into consideration. Considering…the ocean doesn’t exist anymore.” There was nothing left of the world below them, only blackness everywhere, black and purple swirling around like mad, some kind of vortex. “It’s a portal somewhere, by my calculation. It’s either try that or become crushed up here. We have a slim margin of chance of survival by jumping, by staying here it is imminent death. Sorry, you’ll just have to trust me for now.” He reached out his hand, waiting for the woman to make a decision.
"Awww, well that's sad. William, you failed!" The stern shinigami found nothing funny even while his superior began to laugh and make another sharp turn straight towards the monster and its prey.

"Failed! Undertaker, this is not funny!" Undertaker sighed, head hanging.

"First new world and we missed it...Could have been filled with more animal people, or perhaps pretty ladies...Maybe shinigami." Another turn, one of the monster's hands had come away from the plane to swat at the oncoming ship.

"Fine, we missed it!" William unbuckled himself, leaning forward to brace himself between the dome above them and the controls, trying to get a better look at Undertaker, "Now let's get out of here for Death God's sake! We can't do any good if we're dead."

"But there are others still there."

Doesn't exist? That was...Ridiculous...Then again, the entire turn of events was impossible. Looking back to the monster as one of its hands temporarily left the hull of the plane Paige knew that there was no choice. Stay and die then, or jump and die later. She highly doubted that survival was actually an option, "R-Right..." Resigned. Reaching out for the man's hand the panicked cat took the chance for freedom, leaping away and further from the monster towards the c**k-pit. Screeching and yowling as another of the shadows emerged from the captain's seat, "Keisha!? Get back here!"

Unable to move after her Paige was thrown against Darien as the plane was shaken again, clinging to the man as the large shadow that held them began to invert the twisted metal in hopes of getting at the two remaining within.

“Others?” Grell questioned, leaning forward on the toes of his heels to get a better look at the plane. Indeed there seemed to be two people at the open, gaping hole of the plane. Two people about to die it seemed. Grell dug through his pockets, tongue at the corner of his lips as he concentrated on his search until he pulled out a small black book and flipped through the pages. Nothing. No names, no death records, no nothing.

“Maybe they’re not supposed to die.” He paused, contemplating a moment. If there were no names on the list of the dead…it meant there were no people left in this world. All were dead except for the two in front of them. Therefore, they must have been meant to live. “Maybe they know something, let’s see if they want to have some fun~” Suddenly the little gummi ship hit a strong wave of turbulence from the storm and the redhead fell backwards onto his behind. “Owww…why don’t we get something safer?” He whined, rubbing his back as he stared out at the pair of glowing eyes that faced them. “…I think we should hurry.”

It was too late, there was no time. The ship was being crushed. The final pieces of the plane were torn off and thrown into the void just as Darien gripped the woman tighter and leapt into the air and off the plane. The sound of crunching metal was all that could be heard over the whipping winds and roaring thunder. They were falling, free falling…he hadn’t even noticed the ship, nor thought to call for its assistance.
"Hurry hmmm~?"

No... Staring up at the plane as she was pulled away Paige could not find the air to breathe, to cry out in fear, or in hopes the cat might leap into the void with them. Gone, it was all gone. The plane vanished as if it was never there leaving only the swirling mass of purple and black. Paige was not even sure they were falling, if there was nothing below them, was it even possible to fall?

Lightning and clouds and the terrible monster with a heart shaped hole in its chest. Again the young woman tried to call out again, and again she could not find any air. Had it been taken along with everything else?

"Let's see...This one?" Pressing one of the many buttons the gummi ship bucked and produced dusty and misshapen guns from its front, "No, no, definately not." Undertaker gave another hard turn, avoiding a mess of plane parts only to have them vanish not long after passing them. He tried another button and upbeat music that did not suit the occassion filled into the ship.

"What are you doing Undertaker!?" William was still set on leaving ven as the two falling forms were clearly visible in the dark sky. Whatever was about to happen within the void could not be good and he did not want to be there for it to happen. But he was ignored. Twisting the ship about again Undertaker forced it into a dive and found the correct button, the top popped open at last.

Cursing and bending down so that he was not pulled out by the winds William opened his mouth to yell at the shinigami again, but did not get far. A moment later a force came crashing down on him and the ship in general.

"Aaaaaaaand- now!" the same button was pressed again, closing off the dark void and its sounds, leaving the world-less duo caught within the tiny cabin.

The crash had been painful but certainly not what Darien had been expecting. They had landed, landed on something hard. Hard…ish. The demon muttered something, eyes adjusting to the small cabin, as he looked around. He loosened his arms to free the woman, now that they were apparently safe. “Are you hurt?” He sat up, pushing his hair back from his face having not the slightest idea where they were. And even worse, who they were with. His eyes widened slightly as he stared at the trio around them, curious and cautious.

“Who…are you?” He was not even certain where to begin. Where were they? Who were these strange men? What had happened? For once, he was at a loss. But the strange shadow creature was still lurking outside, and it had turned its attention toward them now.

“Oooh~ maybe that was too rough of a welcome, Undertaker.” Grell kneeled down, a smile in place as he examined the two bewildered subjects. “So you’re from another world?” The man busied himself with playing idly with the demon’s red hair until his hand was swatted away in agitation. “Your world was destroyed. But you can come with us for now~ we’re on a romantic adventure where we get to sail through the stars and see the world! Saving it is optional.” Grell waved his hand idly.
