“Hmmm, but I don’t remember what happened to them William. And it’s sooo hot.” Grell whined, even though with the storm the heat had diminished slightly and it wasn’t as if he had a whole lot to wear in the first place. He went on a search anyway, looking around aimlessly in the remarkably large room for the bright red garments. He found the top and hair tie, putting the outfit slowly together throughout the room. Once the silken garment was back in place he looked around for the glasses finding them underneath one of the pillows and putting them back on. With vision restored he looked back at William.

“Oh, I don’t know, Will. Do you think something is going on between her and that demon?” A curious look crossed his features as if the scandal of the idea intrigued an inner deviousness. “You really don’t have to be so off-putting~” In a moment he was at the man’s side, arms snaking around the man from behind and leaning against him with a smile in place, “Relax William. We’re not going anywhere for a while.”

“Lost again?” Darien caught sight of Paige just as she disappeared around one of the corners of the hallway, pausing at the entrance to his room. “I’m surprised you’re awake so early. Did you sleep well at least?” He paused, turning to face her in front of the room.
Coming to a stop as she heard Darien's voice Paige quickly turned around to face the man, smiling, glad to see that he was still there and in one piece, "Ah...Yes, I slept fine, thank you." She could have slept better, much better, but at least she had slept more and deeper than when she was in her own room, which wasn't saying much, "And no, Grell pointed me in your direction." her smile grew and she blushed, "I was lost until then." Approaching the demon Paige still kept a few feet of distance between them. It kept her more comfortable, he wasn't human after all and she didn't know him. But having him near calmed her, again, because she knew him better than the rest of the world.

"I wasn't sure if you had seen it, that storm..." she glanced to Darien's room as if she could see in and out to the far windows at the mess battering against the walls of the city, "Undertaker's gone, so maybe he already knows. Those other two are up also, don't know if they are going..." she looked back to the demon again, "Are we supposed to go see what it is? Stop it?"

“The storm?” Darien repeated curiously, “I do not think there is much we can do in present circumstances. We are fairly limited in mobility.” He trailed off, trying to follow her pattern of thought and considering a few options. “Those creatures, they have been inside the palace at one point and time. I can sense traces of their presence, but for what reason I am not certain. I suppose this storm has something to do with….our problems?” Perhaps the heartless were related, that would be quite a powerful creature that could create a storm however. “I suppose we could—“

“Going somewhere?” A rather accented voice called from behind the demon and in surprise he looked up to see the blond advisor standing not several feet from them. He had a hand rested upon his hip and a small look of amusement on his face. “I’m afraid I cannot let you meddle in these affairs. If you are associating yourself with heartless I am afraid I will have to ask you to leave the palace at once. In fact, I insist upon it. The prince cannot be dealing with such…dangerous company.” The man gestured with his hand to the two, before resting his head upon it. In other words, he was demanding they leave.
If there was any choice Paige could have made it would have been not to go anywhere near the storm. She knew it was a Heartless, had to be, and she wanted to stay as far away from those creatures as possible. They were dangerous. A game was a game but their situation...It was far from it. But, at the same time, she did have the desire to protect the town, even if she was likely not the one who was suppoesd to do so given her Keyblade-less state. It wasn't as if anyone else in that world knew how.

But before she could press her case or Darien had a chance to give his boundaries for going someone else interrupted. Stepping to the side so she could see the one who spoke Paige felt the same strange sense of deja vu that she had upon first encountering Agrabah and the Heartless. Dangerous company, really?

"Well you aren't the prince, you cannot order us to do anything." Her status, or lack thereof, in that world was something that Paige was content to ignore. Even if she did decide to follow the rules that dictated her sex there was nothing she could do to stop the automatic retort, "But if it makes you feel any better we don't plan to remain for long." Putting a hand on the demon's arm she glanced up to the man's features, "Come on Darien, lets go take a look."

“Oh, but I can actually.” Iridescent eyes flicked up to look at Paige as she spoke, and a slow smile was in place. “You’ll get yourself in trouble with that mouth of yours.” The blond paused, moving to her side in a moment and leaning down slightly to meet her at eye level. “I am the prince’s advisor, and thus able to make decisions for him. Whatever benefits him the most.” The vampire flashed a smirk, fangs barely visible from over his lips. He straightened when the woman took the demon’s arm and his eyes flickered to the man momentarily. “Do you think it wise to split up?” A knowing look crossed the vampire’s features, as if he expected something to happen in their absence. “That wouldn’t be very safe.”

Darien eyed the vampire suspiciously, eyes narrowing slightly upon hearing his words. They did not sit well at all and he could only imagine what was meant by them. However, he soon turned his attention to Paige and nodded once, briefly. “That would be best.” Though he was still debating whether it would be best to leave as a group or indeed split up. They had no keyblade as it was…and defeating those creatures would be difficult without one.
Recoiling as the man approached her so quickly Paige stared at him in shock. She didn't like him, not at all. Something was wrong with him. And it wasn't just the fact that he was obviously acting on his own, it took a great deal of strength to not snap at the man again. There was nothing that she could do for the sensation of dread directed towards the palace and its prince while the man was there. But it wasn't their world, she didn't have to worry about anything except the Heartless, and even that wasn't her responsibility.

"a**..." Paige muttered, she couldn't stop herself. But she knew that it was wrong and squeezed Darien's arm again, holding tight to it and trying to pull him off down the hallway and to the palace's exit. Something was wrong witht hat man, he didn't belong there, and she wanted to get far, far, away from him, "Let's just worry about the Heartless, yeah?"

It was not difficult to find the cause of the commotion, or rather the source. There was an unusual calm in one part of the city, not to say it was unaffected but it seemed less affected than the other parts of the town. Whatever was causing this disturbance had to be in the city, in this general area and it was likely one of those creatures.

Darien sighed, eyes scanning the streets that were almost dark with the cover of the storm. It was raining, and wet and humid in the desert. It wasn’t hot at least, but it was wet and thus it made things even more miserable. He glanced once to Paige, wondering if her knowledge of the game she recognized could help them in this situation.

“Is any of this familiar, I mean…do you have any idea at all what it is we are searching for?” A large heartless no doubt, perhaps one of those ‘boss’ creatures she mentioned earlier. The demon was not looking forward to facing one of those. He did not fear these creatures yet his attacks seemed to only hinder them, it seemed the only way to kill one was with the keyblade. A shame, that. He would have to find one of these legendary ‘keyblades’.

Still he kept a close eye on Paige. She was still a human and even though her knowledge of these worlds proved useful, her heart could just as easily be stolen. That could be a problem. He wasn’t quite sure what could happen to a person after their heart was taken. Heartless took the hearts of humans, but what happened to a body without a heart? Perhaps…the same thing as a body without a soul?
