Welcome to Gaia! ::

Jumaris smiled weakly. "Wouldn't that be a sight.." she muttered, looking out at the city lights. "There's a pub about half a mile from Coco's Coffee...I'll meet you out back.." Snag a few wallets, some pocket change. It would be fine. No one suspected the innocent girl with pink hair. Hey, when they were half drunk, they wouldn't miss a thing. "Do you have a ride?"
"Remember? I'm the one that carried you all the way over here while running. I think I got this." Jarred said simply cracking his neck and grinned. "Unless you want another ride, I'll see you in a bit...." He added, winking casually as he warmed himself up.
Jumaris smiled, raising one pink eyebrow. "No, it's alright. I like riding you..." she replied, mentally slapping herself for the lame joke. Hey, it had been a long day. So, it was all good. No need to feel stupid for something he was asking for. She looked at him uncertainly. "You sure you have this under control...I mean it's not like you've had these powers for years..."
"My mind is telling me my limitations, as if those creeps placed a computer chip telling me all that I can do and can't do in my head....." Jarred said dazedly, his mind already working around what he can do and what he can't do. "Dunno about you, though. Maybe it's just about me....." He added, shrugging.
Jumaris rolled her eyes. " Yeah, everything is about the rich kid. Hey, why don't we add a slut in the mix and see how his hormones react. Maybe it'll trigger one of those special powers..." she mumbled with sarcasm, frowning somewhat. She began working out the rest of the day. There wasn't much left to do except snag few wallets. "We should get going...if we're lucky we'll get started before tomorrow".
"Still leaves the question: Do you want me to carry you back into town or not? Neither of us has a car at the moment, nor can you run lickidy-split like I can." Jarred said, a slight bit of annoyance being slipped into his words. Come on, lady. MAKE UP YOUR DAMN MIND!!!! His mind screamed vehemently, inwardly growling at the silly stripper.
Jumaris crossed her arms, looking irritated. "I never said I didn't, but you're gonna be an a** about it I mind as well walk...." she retorted. Why did men have to be so damn irritating all the time? They jumped to conclusions like monkeys jumped at bananas. She still wasn't sure about the whole thing. What if he dropped her? She was not invincible to gravity. In fact, she was quite atracted to it at times.
"A simple yes or no would suffice." Jarred said with a shrug. No skin off my back... He thought, as he streaked down the hill in a blur of dust and dirt. She don't want a ride, not my problem.... He added to himself as he made his very fast way back to his house, thinking up what to write.
Jumaris was truly beginning to loathe the circumstance, more than a simple dislike. Looking at the world beyond, she sighed. how on earth was she going to get off the hill? "JARRED I AM GOING TO KICK YOUR ******** a**!!" she hollered into oblivion, hoping that, by some small chance she might magically find herself in the city. Until then, she'd walk. She took one dignified step forward, only to find herself falling face first into the dirt, having caught her heel on a tree root. Oh how she hated nature...
Jarred's laugh came from down the hill since he had stopped just to see her reaction. "Oh, quite whining, you pansy. C'mon...." He called out with a chuckle and a grin on his face. Girls these days, yes or no isn't enough now, is it? He thought to himself, shaking his head.
Jumaris glared, pursing her lips with aggravation. She looked towards him, still shaky on exactly what to do. There was no way she was going to reach for him. With the fear of heights nagging at the back of her mind, she had to use every effort not to look down.
"I'm not going over there, are you nuts?!" she replied, crossing her arms. "No way in hell. You have to come over here..."
Jarred growled to himself. He rushed forward, a fast-moving blur across the ground, and hoisted Jumaris over his shoulder. "Quite whining, PANSY!!!" He exclaimed, before blasting to the city once again. He stopped in front of the empty bar she worked at, setting her down before turning. "I'll be back in a little bit...." He said simply, before blitzing to his own house.

He arrived shortly, everything normal as when he left. Jarred headed to his room, gathering a smattering of clothing to take along with him, and two pieces of paper and a pen. He stood outside his sisters room, watching the only person he had ever loved sleeping peacefully in her bed, covered in her large and thick blanket. He knelt beside her in a blur of silence, wiping a tear from his eyes and kissing her cheek. He wrote quickly on the paper, leaving it where she could easily see. He headed out of her room, and placed the other written note on the kitchen table, Jarred now dressed in a black leather jacket, black pants, a white "Eat At Joe's" shirt and black shoes, a backpack over his shoulder holding all the things he'd need later. He took one last look at his past home, and blew it a kiss before heading off back to Jumaris, his little errand taking only a few minutes.
Jumaris nearly puked when she landed. She leaned against the entrance to the bar, holding her chest with her eyes closed. The whole world rushed around her, still feeling as if she was spinning. Not a good feeling.
After another moment of silence, she realized this would be the last time she'd see any of this. She might not even live another week. Her whole life she'd been wanting to escape, had been wanting to run away from everything, but no matter how far she ran, she couldn't escape those memories. Her hand ran along the edge of the glass door, pushing it open with heavy force, and even then, she felt frail, as if she was stuck in someone elses body. Immediately, she was hit the smell of smoke and alcohol, things of her past. Her pink hair fell over her shoulders, her curving body moving slowly through the crowds until reaching the old pals. All of them looked relaxed, the few holding marijuana cigarettes, others leaning over a small bit of white powder. It was a surprise they were still alive.
Jumaris grinned, sliding on top of one of the bums. She met her lips with his, taking the small roll of paper from his broad hands, inhaling the toxins with one smooth motion. A small ring of smoke floated from her mouth, a smile crossing her face as all worries seemed to slip away...
Jarred strode to the bar, smelling something weird as he got to the door. He opened it, seeing Jumaris puffing on a joint. He walked over to her, raising an eyebrow at her actions. "This isn't exactly the time to get high, lady...." He said simply, placing a restraining hand on her shoulder. "We're running from bad guys, and you get ******** up?" He added, surprised.
Jumaris grinned lazily, eyes looking as if they would close at any minute. She felt as if she was walking on clouds. Colors were completely different, brighter, happier. She took another puff, holding the smoke in her mouth, even as the corners of her pink lips curved into that seductive smile. With ease, she stood from the booth, leaning into Jarred's body, pressing her breasts against his chest. Her hands drifted up around his neck, pulling him roughly into a kiss. Her eyes closed for a moment, blowing those warm inhalants into him. This would be a good night...
